Long Long Time Ago 2 (Chinese: 我们的故事2) is a 2016 Singaporean period film directed by Jack Neo. The film was released on 31 March 2016. Sequel to ''Long Long Time Ago'', the film is the second installment in the ''Long Long Time Ago'' film series. Plot Continuing from ''Long Long Time Ago'', Zhao Di takes over her family farm with the help of Ah Long after the 1969 floods. After the government started reclaiming land for development in 1977, licensed owners like Zhao Di are compensated but her brother accuses her of having an affair with Ah Long to get the money for himself. Osman does not approve his son playing in a rock band as he fears the negative influence, causing his son to run away from home. Meanwhile, Ah Hee and Rani decide to get married but their traditional parents object their marriage. Jack Neo
Jack Neo (born 24 January 1960) is a Singaporean actor, television host, comedian and film director. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1983 to 2003. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he was best known for his cross-dressing roles, as Liang Po Po (literally: Granny Liang) and Liang Xi Mei (a woman homemaker in her 40s) in the long-running television comedy show ''Comedy Nite''. Since his debut as a feature director, Neo has proven to be the most commercially successful local director who has also met with some success in Malaysia and Taiwan. He has shown a penchant for the franchise series films. His most critically acclaimed film is ''I Not Stupid'', which satirizes Singapore's streaming educational system in 2002. ''Long Long Time Ago: The Diam Diam Era Two'' (Chinese: 我们的故事4：沉默的年代2) is a 2021 Singaporean comedy drama film by Jack Neo. Continuing the story of the Lim family, set in 1988 election year, it tells the story as Ah Kun, Osman and Shamugam form a seemingly funny but serious opposition party C.M.I, and compete in the fierce election showdown. The film stars veteran local comedy actors Mark Lee, Henry Thia and Wang Lei. It is released on 11 February 2021 during the Chinese New Year in Singaporean cinemas.
