London Live is a local television channel in London, England. The channel airs local news, current affairs, sports, arts, events, and entertainment. It is part of the nationwide rollout of local television channels by Ofcom, the UK office of communications. The owner of London Live is Russian oligarch Evgeny Lebedev, who is also the chairman and owner of both Evening Standard Ltd (publisher of the ''Evening Standard'' newspaper, which he bought in January 2009) & Independent Print Ltd (publisher of ''The Independent'' and ''Independent on Sunday'', which he bought in March 2010). History London Live launched at 18:30 on 31 March 2014. The channel is owned by ESTV, which won the Local Digital Television Programme Service (L-DTPS) auction from Ofcom in February 2013. The ''Evening Standard'', formerly ''The Standard'' (1827–1904), also known as the ''London Evening Standard'', is a local free daily newspaper in London, England, published Monday to Friday in tabloid format. Brian Rose (born May 1971) is an American-born podcaster based in London. He is the host of London Real, a podcast and YouTube channel he founded in 2011. Early life and career Rose was born in San Diego, United States, in May 1971. His early career was as a banker in New York City and London. Rose has described how he became addicted to alcohol and then drugs, including a heroin overdose in 2001. He moved to London in 2002 and stopped using drugs, becoming a British citizen in 2007. ''Cash in the Attic'' is a British television programme that aired on BBC One from 4 November 2002 to 24 May 2012. The programme's tagline was ''The show that helps you find hidden treasures in your home, and then sells them for you at auction''. The show was revived by Channel 5 in November 2021 for broadcast in 2022. Format In the show, the presenter visited a family's house to find out what they need to raise money for. They then explored the house and its surroundings, finding antiques and valuing them, with the help of experts. The family then goes to auction with the aim of making their financial target. Hale and Pace were an English comedy double-act that performed in clubs and on radio and television in the United Kingdom in the 1980s and 1990s. The duo was made up of Gareth Hale and Norman Pace, with the ''Hale and Pace'' television show running for ten years and 66 episodes, from 1988 to 1998. ''Trigger Happy TV'' is a hidden camera/ practical joke comedy television series. The original British edition of the show, produced by Absolutely Productions, starred Dom Joly and ran for three series on the British television channel Channel 4 from 2000 to 2003.
