Lollipop Loves Mr Mole
''Lollipop Loves Mr Mole'' is a British television sitcom written by Jimmy Perry and produced by ATV. Thirteen episodes were produced in two series of six and seven episodes respectively. The first episode was broadcast on 25 October 1971. Synoposis The domineering Maggie Robinson ( Peggy Mount - the 'Lollipop' of the title) and her timid husband Reg aka 'Mr. Mole' ( Hugh Lloyd) are a comically-mismatched couple living in Fulham, London (they married late in life, 'Lollipop' having had aged parents to look after and 'Mr. Mole' having waited for 'Miss Right'). Their domestic bliss is interrupted by the arrival from Africa of Reg's brother, the brash, workshy Bruce ( Rex Garner) and his hypochrondriac wife Violet ( Pat Coombs). The comedy revolves partly around Reg and Maggie's attempts to get Bruce employment. Another feature is Reg's sinus trouble (which prevents him fully appreciating his wife's cooking). Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. John Cazabon
John Forde Cazabon (3 August 1914 – 22 June 1983) was an English actor and stage writer whose career began in Sydney, Australia. History Cazabon was born in Hertford, Hertfordshire, to violinist and composer Albert Cazabon (1883–1970) and Norah Cazabon née Delaney, a professional actress born in Australia. He had an older sister Norah Cazabon and a younger brother Robert Brendan Cazabon (born c. 1919), who was killed in action in 1941. Ann Way (14 November 1915 – 13 March 1993) was an English film and television character actress. Born in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, she began her career in repertory in Birmingham in the 1950s moving from there to the Dundee Rep. Her petite build and deep-set eyes saw her frequently typecast as a stereotypically dotty or timid and mouse-like spinster. John Savident
John Savident (born 21 January 1938) is a retired British actor, known for his numerous television roles, including his portrayal of Fred Elliott in the soap opera '' Coronation Street'' from 1994-2006. He is also known for his performance as Monsieur Firmin in the West End debut of The Phantom of the Opera and ''The Lion King.'' Victor Jack Maddern (16 March 1928 – 22 June 1993) was an English actor. He was described by ''The Telegraph'' as having "one of the most distinctive and eloquent faces in post-war British cinema."
