Logan Mailloux
Logan Mailloux (born April 15, 2003) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman for the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the first round, 31st overall, by the Canadiens in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft under controversial circumstances. Playing career Junior In the 2019–20 season, Mailloux played primarily for the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) London Knights' Junior B affiliate, the London Nationals, scoring 18 goals and 50 assists in a 48-game season that was prematurely shortened by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was enough to secure rookie of the year and defensive player of the year honours for the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL). He also appeared in four games with the Knights in the OHL season, but did not record any points. Hockeyettan is the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. As of the 2015–16 Hockeyettan season, 2015–16 season, the league consists of 46 teams divided geographically into four groups. Hockeyettan operates a system of promotion and relegation with HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2 (Swedish ice hockey), Division 2. From 1944 to 1975, Division I was the highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, but with the creation of Swedish Hockey League, Elitserien (now the SHL) in 1975, it became the second tier. Peterborough Petes
The Peterborough Petes are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The team has played at the Peterborough Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, since 1956, and is the oldest continuously operating team in the league. History The Petes were born on October 1, 1956 when the Kitchener Canucks relocated to Peterborough after the 1955–56 season. Geoffrey Eric Molson (born July 23, 1971), is a Canadian businessman and current president and chief executive officer and co-owner of the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens, Evenko, Bell Centre and L'Équipe Spectra alongside his brothers Andrew Molson and Justin Molson. He is a member of the Molson family. He is also the Honorary Colonel of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, in Quebec, Canada. 2022–23 OHL Season
The 2022–23 OHL season was the 43rd season of operation (42nd season of play) of the Ontario Hockey League. The league played a 68-game regular season which began on September 29, 2022 and concluded on March 26, 2023. The post-season began on March 30, 2023 and concluded on May 21, 2023. The Peterborough Petes won the J. Ross Robertson Cup and will represent the Ontario Hockey League at the 2023 Memorial Cup, which was hosted by the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League. Games were played at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia. Preseason On July 12, 2022, the OHL announced the preseason schedule for the 2022–23 season.
