Logan Evans Costa (born 1 April 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Toulouse. Born in France, he plays for the Cape Verde national team. Early life Costa was born in Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, to a Cape Verdean family. Club career Having started to play football in Argenteuil, Val-d'Oise, Logan Costa joined Reims's youth academy in 2016. A player in Reims's Championnat National 2 reserve starting in the 2018–19 season, Costa captained the side during the following campaign. With a few appearances in the pro squad for the Ligue 1 games, he was loaned to Championnat National side Le Mans for the 2020–21 season. With Le Mans newly-relegated from Ligue 2, he was one of the standout players in the team, and a revelation of the Championnat National, starting and playing the entirety of 26 games, as the club only narrowly missed the promotion play-offs. Anthony Rouault (born 29 May 2001) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club VfB Stuttgart. Career Rouault joined the youth academy of Toulouse in 2016. He made his professional debut with Toulouse in a 1–0 Ligue 2 win over Ajaccio on 17 October 2020. On 1 September 2023, Rouault was loaned out to VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season. Club career Born in Aulum, Denmark, Nicolaisen came through the academy of FC Midtjylland. It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. 2019–20 Ligue 2
The 2019–20 Ligue 2 (referred to as the Domino's Pizza, Domino's Ligue 2 for sponsorship reasons) season was the 81st season since its establishment. The season was suspended indefinitely on 12 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 28 April 2020, the French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced that there would be no sporting events, even behind closed doors, before September 2020, thus in effect ending the season.
