Sjur Loen (born 19 May 1958, in Oppdal) is a Norwegian curler and world champion. He participated on the winning team in the demonstration event at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Youri Loen (born 27 January 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Maltese club Mosta. Career Born in Nijmegen, after playing with amateur club SV Orion, Loen began his career with the youth team of hometown club NEC in 2001, and later played for Dordrecht, Sparta Rotterdam, Fortuna Sittard, FC Emmen and Almere City. After two seasons with Almere City, in which he scored 8 goals and made 15 assists in 65 games, he was told he was no longer wanted by the club. He left the club at the end of June 2020, and returned to former club SV Orion in July 2020, as well as a second amateur club Brakkenstein, to train in order to maintain fitness. Loen, Norway
Loen is a village in Stryn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the inner part of the Nordfjord region, at the easternmost end of the Nordfjorden. Loen is located about north of the village of Olden and about southeast of the municipal center of Stryn. The lake Lovatnet is located just to the southeast of the village of Loen. The Hotel Alexandra was established in Loen in 1884. The historic Loen Church is also located in the village. History Loen is the home to some of the oldest farms in Norway: ''Sæten'' (Setin), ''Tjugen'' (Tyfin), and ''Loen''. They were probably established long before the time of Christianity. Much of the upper Loen valley was devastated from two rockfall slides (one in 1905 and one in 1936) that created huge waves that swept with them most of the houses and vegetation.
