Llanbister Road Railway Station
Llanbister Road railway station is a countryside stop about from the village of Llanbister, Powys, Wales. The station is south west of Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales Line. The unstaffed station is located at street level adjacent to the bridge beneath a minor road. All trains serving the station are operated by Transport for Wales. Facilities As with most others on the route, it has been fitted with a digital CIS display and customer help point in addition to the standard timetable poster board and waiting shelter. Part of the platform has been raised to allow travellers to board and alight from trains without the need for portable stairs, but no level access is available from the main entrance (the only entry and exit route is via a flight of 18 steps). Its former station building still survives opposite the remaining active platform (as can be seen in the photo), though it is now a private residence. Llanelli Railway Station
railway station is the railway station serving the town of Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is located on the West Wales line and the Heart of Wales line west of by rail. The station and the majority of trains calling are operated by Transport for Wales. It is located between two level crossings (known as East and West) that were previously upgraded in the 1970s. In 2015, Network Rail carried out a further upgrade which saw the control of these level crossings pass from the Grade-II listed West signal box (which worked the two crossings here only since 1973) to Port Talbot Panel Signal Box using CCTV. Llangynllo Railway Station
Llangynllo railway station is a countryside stop in Powys about 5 miles west of Knighton, on the Heart of Wales Line. The station is located 1.4 miles north of Llangunllo village (also known as Llangynllo), at road level beside two houses on a minor rural road off the B4356 road. Services All trains serving the station are operated by Transport for Wales. There are four trains a day in each direction from Monday to Saturday and a fifth morning service to Shrewsbury for commuters on weekdays; two services call on Sundays. This is a request stop, where passengers have to signal to the driver to board or alight from the train. Dolau Railway Station
Dolau railway station is an unstaffed railway station with one platform serving the small village of Dolau in Powys, mid Wales. It is located on the Heart of Wales Line. Passenger services are operated by Transport for Wales. It is a request stop for southbound trains only - those heading towards Shrewsbury have to stop here so that the train crew can activate the controls for the adjacent half barrier level crossing. In public transport, a request stop, flag stop, or whistle stop is a stop or station at which buses or trains, respectively, stop only on request; that is, only if there are passengers or freight to be picked up or dropped off.
