Live! (Anna Vissi Album)
''Anna Vissi Live!'' is the name of a live Greek album by singer Anna Vissi. It is her first live album and was released in Greece and Cyprus in December 1993. It was recorded in ''Zoom'' night club, in Plaka, Athens, a place where Vissi began her first shows in Greece during the 70s. The release was scheduled to celebrate the first two decades of Vissi's singing career (1973–1993). The tracklist included live covers of many of her hits so far, as well as covers of her early recordings back in the 70s, as to honour Stavros Kougioumtzis and Doros Georgiadis, the first composers she collaborated with. It also featured three duets with fellow singers Lampis Livieratos and Yannis Siamsiaris, who also served as backing vocalists. Anna Vissi dedicated the album to her daughter Sofia Karvela. Anna Vissi
Anna Vissi ( el, Άννα Βίσση, , ; born 20 December 1957), is a Greek Cypriot singer and songwriter. She studied music at conservatories and performed locally before moving to the professional scene in Athens, in 1973, where she signed with Minos and simultaneously collaborated with other musical artists and released promotional singles of her own while studying at the University of Athens. Vissi established herself in the recording industry by winning the Thessaloniki Song Festival in 1977 with the song "As Kanoume Apopse Mian Arhi" and releasing the eponymous debut album. Since the 1980s, Vissi began a nearly exclusive collaboration with songwriter Nikos Karvelas, to whom she was married from 1983 to 1992 and had one child with, resulting in one of the most successful music partnerships in the nation's history. Giorgos Hatzinasios (also spelled Hadjinasios; el, Γιώργος Χατζηνάσιος, ; born 19 January 1942) is a Greek songwriter and composer. Early life Hatzinasios was born in Thessaloniki. His father was Agapios Hatzinasios, a native of Nigrita, Serres and a music professor of Thessaloniki's State Conservatory and a renowned saxophonist. His mother was Anna Zografou, a native of Galatista in Chalkidiki. His paternal grandfather, also Georgios Hatzinasios and a graduate from the Phanar Greek Orthodox College, was a merchant and visited the Holy Land at a young age with his father, Athanassios. Giorgos Zampetas (Pronounced 'Zabetas', el, Γιώργος Ζαμπέτας, sometimes romanized as George Zambetas / George Zabetas / Giorgos Zabetas; 25 January 1925 – 10 March 1992) was a Greek bouzouki musician. Stavros Xarhakos
Stavros Xarchakos, Greek: Σταύρος Ξαρχάκος (born 14 March 1939) is a Greek composer and conductor. Biography Stavros Xarchakos was born in Athens, where he studied at the Athens Conservatoire. He has family origins from the Mani Peninsula. He emerged in the Greek music scene around 1963, composing music for the theatre and cinema. Among his collaborators was lyricist Lefteris Papadopoulos and singer Nikos Xylouris. In 1967 he went to Paris to study with Nadia Boulanger. Nikos Karvelas ( el, Νίκος Καρβέλας; born Nikos Leonardos on 8 September 1951) is a Greek songwriter, producer and singer. He has sold millions of records as a producer and is most recognizable for his three-decade-long collaboration with Anna Vissi, while some of his other well-known collaborations include Tolis Voskopoulos and Sakis Rouvas. ''Lambo'' (; ) is an album by Greek singer Anna Vissi, released in Greece and Cyprus in 1992. The single "Lambo" prompted the mambo dance trend in Greece. Due to its December 24 release date, the album was played extensively during the 1992 Christmas holiday period. Album Information Music, lyrics and album production are entirely by Nikos Karvelas. ''Lambo'', ''Akoma Mia'', ''Se Hriazome'' and ''O,ti thes ego'' were released on promotional videos during 1992 and 1993, airing in local TV stations.
