Little One Tour
The Little One Tour is a 2011 concert tour by the American singer-songwriter Bilal, in support of his album ''Airtight's Revenge''. The tour was also used by the singer to promote the charity Autism Speaks and titled after the ''Airtight's Revenge'' single " Little One", an ode to his autistic son. The tour began in February 2011, with shows in the U.S. and Europe, and ended on September 16. On June 18, Bilal headlined along with other acts as part of the Stockholm Jazz Festival and performed two shows in South Africa in August. In addition to ''Airtight's Revenge'', Bilal performed songs from his unreleased second album '' Love for Sale'', which had developed a cult following. Bilal Sayeed Oliver (born August 23, 1979) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is an independent artist, noted for his wide vocal range, work across multiple genres, and intense live performances. Starting out at a major label, Bilal debuted with his popular R&B single "Soul Sista" in 2000, but turned to playing jazz venues and recording more progressive soul music in subsequent years. He has commercially released four albums to critical success, while his unreleased but widely leaked second album '' Love for Sale'' also found wide acclaim among critics and listeners. He was a member of the Soulquarians, an experimental black music collective active from the late 1990s to early 2000s. Merriweather Post Pavilion is an outdoor concert venue located within Symphony Woods, a lot of preserved land in the heart of the planned community of Columbia, Maryland. In 2010, Merriweather was named the second best amphitheater in the United States by ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' magazine. The venue was also ranked as the fourth best amphitheater in the United States by ''Rolling Stone'' in 2013. It was again ranked by ''Consequence of Sound'' at number 29 of all music venues in the nation out of 100 in 2016. The Jazz Cafe is a music venue in Camden Town, London. It opened in 1990 on the former premises of a branch of Barclays Bank and has had several owners throughout its history as a music venue. Paradiso is a Dutch music venue and cultural centre located in Amsterdam. History It is housed in a converted former church building that dates from the nineteenth century and that was used until 1965 as the meeting hall for a liberal Dutch religious group known as the "Vrije Gemeente" (Free Congregation). It is located on ''de Weteringschans'', near the ''Leidseplein'', one of the nightlife and tourism centers of the city. The main concert hall in the former church interior has high ceilings and two balcony rings overlooking the stage area, with three large illuminated church windows above the stage.
