Lithuania In The Eurovision Song Contest 2005
Lithuania was represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 by "Little by Little" performed by Laura and the Lovers. It was chosen at the Lithuanian National Final on 26 February. The song was written and composed by Swedes Bobby Ljunggren and William "Billy" Butt. Before Eurovision ''Nacionalinė atranka į Euroviziją 2005'' Semi-finals The final was preceded by seven semi-finals, which took place on a weekly basis between 8 January and 19 February 2005. The results in the semi-finals were decided by televoting. An additional wildcard was also given by an expert jury to one of the entries that did not qualify from the semi-finals. Bobby Ljunggren (born 1961) is a Swedish songwriter. He has entered the Eurovision Song Contest as a composer six times, five times for his native Sweden (1995, 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010), and once for Lithuania, in 2005. He is a veteran of the Melodifestivalen competition, with 50 entries, reaching the milestone of half a century of entries at Melodifestivalen 2020. Alanas Chošnau (born July 11, 1974) is a Lithuanian singer and songwriter of Lithuanian and Iraqi Kurdish origin. In 1992 – 2001 and 2014 – 2018 he was the frontman of the band Naktinės Personos. Lithuania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest (known in Lithuania as ''Eurovizijos dainų konkursas'') 22 times since its debut in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas finished last, receiving "nul points".
