The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT ) is a government agency in the American state of Texas. Though the public face of the agency is generally associated with the construction and maintenance of the state's immense state highway system, the agency is also responsible for overseeing aviation, rail, and public transportation systems in the state. State highway loops in Texas are owned and maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Loop 1 Loop 1, known as Mopac Expressway or Mopac Boulevard, is a freeway around the west side of Austin. Loop 2 Loop 2 is located in Waco. It runs from I-35 to US 84. Loop 2 was designated on September 26, 1939, from US 81 though Waco to another point on US 81, as a renumbering of SH 2 Bypass. On November 29, 1955, the section from 18th Street and Washington Street northeast along Washington Street and Elm Street to US 81 was cancelled, and Loop 2 was instead extended west to new US 84; the old route became Spur 298 and Spur 299 in 1956. State highway loops in Texas are owned and maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Loop 105 Loop 105 is the old route of US 87 through Thomaston, formed on November 20, 1997. Loop 106 Loop 106 is the old route of US 87 through Sayers, formed on March 27, 1981. Loop 107 Loop 107 is a former alignment of US 87 through Adkins. Its east end is at FM 3465, which is a former alignment of Loop 1604 in the area. Loop 107 was designated on March 27, 1981. Loop 108 Loop 108 is located in Port Bolivar. State highway loops in Texas are owned and maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Loop 201 Loop 201 was located in Baytown, Texas, Baytown. Loop 201 was designated on September 23, 1959, as a redesignation of Spur 201 when it was extended northeast to SH 146 at McKinney Road. On October 22, 1976, the road was extended east 1.1 miles to SH 146 near Ferry Road. Loop 201 was cancelled on March 28, 1996, and became a portion of SH 146 when it was rerouted. Loop 203 Loop 203 (1948) The first use of the Loop 203 designation was in Collin County as a loop off then-proposed US 75 in McKinney, Texas, McKinney. State highway loops in Texas are owned and maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Loop 300 Loop 300 was a proposed route in Snyder. It was designated on February 23, 1956, from US 180 west of the city, around its west and south sides, to US 84 southeast of it. The route was never built, and the designation was cancelled on October 1, 1968. Loop 301 Loop 301 is located in Sulphur Springs. It runs from the junction of SH 19 and SH 154 to I-30/ US 67. Loop 301 was designated on February 23, 1956, from US 67 (later Loop 313; now Business US 67) and SH 19 in west Sulphur Springs, northward to SH 154.
