''TVLine'' is a website devoted to information, news, and spoilers of television programs. It covers various topics including the latest news on television, reviews, latest releases, and more. History In late 2010, ''Entertainment Weekly''s Michael Ausiello announced that he would be leaving ''EW'' after nearly two years in their employ to establish a TV-centered website with PMC, the media company founded by Jay Penske. The site debuted January 5, 2011, and more than tripled initial expectations for internet traffic in its first six days. Club MTV
''Club MTV'' is a half hour television show modeled after ''American Bandstand'' that aired on MTV from August 31, 1987, to June 26, 1992. ''Club MTV'' was part of MTV's second generation of programming, as the channel was phasing out its original 5 VJs and introducing new ones. Format Hosted by Downtown Julie Brown (Kevin Seal hosted the pilot) at The Palladium, a large dance club in New York City, the show cut back and forth between teenagers and young adults dancing to a hit music video. Musical guests often introduced their new brand singles. Club MTV Tour In July 1989, MTV launched a ''Club MTV Tour'' featuring Was (Not Was), Information Society (Band), Paula Abdul, Tone Loc and Milli Vanilli, with Downtown Julie Brown & the Club MTV dancers. Headbangers Ball
''Headbangers Ball'' is a music television program that consists of heavy metal music videos airing on MTV and its global affiliates. The show began on MTV on April 18, 1987, playing heavy metal music videos from both well-known and more obscure artists. The show offered (and became famous because of) a stark contrast to Top 40 music videos shown during the day. However, with the mainstream rise of alternative rock, grunge, pop punk and rap music in the 1990s, the relevance of ''Headbangers Ball'' came into question, and the show was ultimately canceled in 1995. Over eight years later, as new genres of heavy metal were gaining a commercial foothold and fan interest became unavoidable, the program was reintroduced on MTV2. It had remained in varying degrees on the network's website, but by the early 2020s, it was no longer shown on television. ''Dial MTV'' is a daily music video countdown program on MTV MTV (an initialism of Music Television) is an American cable television television channel, channel and the flagship property of the MTV Entertainment Group sub-division of the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. Launched on ..., with videos determined by viewers calling a 1-800 telephone number. It premiered on February 17, 1986 and ran until June 1991. Much like ''Total Request Live'', ''Dial MTV'' played the most Request (broadcasting), requested videos of the day, as requested by viewers who Rotary dial, dialed in (hence, the name) to vote for their favorite video. MTV2
MTV2 (formerly M2) is an American pay television Cable television, channel owned by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global, through PMN’s MTV Entertainment Group Subdivision. The channel launched initially as an all-music video service, once the original MTV had started to shift its programming. As with its parent network, MTV2's focus on music programming would gradually be downplayed during the 2000s. By 2011, MTV2 would primarily target young adult men with original and acquired lifestyle and reality programming, reruns of male-targeting shows from MTV, acquired sitcoms and movies, and a daily block of hip hop and Rock music, rock genre videos in the early mornings. ''Couples Therapy'' is an American television series on the Showtime network. The series documents couples therapy sessions under the direction of Dr. Orna Guralnik. Overview ''Couples Therapy'' shows parts of the therapy sessions of three to four couples per season. The producers and therapist of the series wanted to show what a therapeutic process actually looks like. They didn't want to show drama to the audiences, but the deep work that real therapy entails. Her practice features many cameras hidden behind a one-way mirror that surrounds the room. The couples participate in a 20-week therapy program.
