List Of Hospitals In Croatia
In 2012, there were 79 hospitals and clinics in Croatia. All hospitals listed below are operated by the Croatian health ministry. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia ( hr, Ministarstvo zdravstva) is the ministry in the Government of Croatia which is in charge of health care and welfare. The current Minister of Health, serving in the Cabinet of Andrej Plenković, is Vili Beroš. The longest serving Minister of Health (and the only one to serve multiple terms) was Andrija Hebrang, who held the position for a total of 7 years and 343 days, during the administrations of six Croatian Prime Ministers. Črnomerec
Črnomerec () is one of the city districts of Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the western part of the city and has nearly forty thousand inhabitants. History Archeological findings from Donja Kustošija show evidence of early stone age settlements in this area, some 35,000 years ago. There are even more artifacts from Roman period, including Roman road from mountain Medvednica to river Sava via this area. Črnomerec was first mentioned as ''Village Černomerci near Chapel of Holy Spirit'' in the 14th century, as the biggest village near city (of Zagreb). This ancient Chapel of Holy Spirit was abandoned after Jesuit order was dismissed (1773). It was destroyed in 1810 when lightning struck hit it while used as ammunition depot for nearby army barracks. Knin
Knin (, sr, link=no, Книн, it, link=no, Tenin) is a city in the Šibenik-Knin County of Croatia, located in the Dalmatian hinterland near the source of the river Krka, an important traffic junction on the rail and road routes between Zagreb and Split. Knin rose to prominence twice in history, as the capital of both the medieval Kingdom of Croatia and, briefly, of the unrecognized self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina for the duration of Croatian War of Independence from 1991 to 1995. Etymology The name is likely derived from the Illyrian ''Ninia''. Karlovac () is a city in central Croatia. According to the 2011 census, its population was 55,705. Karlovac is the administrative centre of Karlovac County. Gospić
Gospić () is a town in the mountainous and sparsely populated region of Lika, Croatia. It is the administrative centre of Lika-Senj County. Gospić is located near the Lika River in the middle of a karst field ( Ličko Polje). Gospić is the third smallest seat of a county government in Croatia. Its status as the county capital helped to spur some development in it, but the town as well as the entire region have suffered a constant decrease in population over the last several decades.
