List Of Airports In China
This is a list of public airports in the People's Republic of China grouped by provincial level division and sorted by main city served. It includes airports that are being built or scheduled for construction, but excludes defunct airports and military air bases. There were 229 civil airports at the end of 2017, with a few dozen more under construction. This figure includes airports governed by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and it does not include the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau (or the area administered by Taiwan). Both Hong Kong and Macau have their own civil aviation regulators (the Civil Aviation Department and the Civil Aviation Authority respectively). Chizhou
Chizhou () is a prefecture-level city in the south of Anhui province, China. It borders Anqing to the northwest, Tongling and Wuhu to the northeast, Xuancheng to the east, Huangshan to the southeast, and the province of Jiangxi to the southwest. Its population was 1,342,764 as of the 2020 census whom 615,274 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made of Guichi District. Mount Jiuhua (Jǐuhuáshān), located in Qingyang county, is one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese buddhism. Beijing Daxing International Airport
Beijing Daxing International Airport , is one of two international airports serving Beijing, the other one being Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). It is located on the border of Beijing and Langfang, Hebei Province. It has been nicknamed "the starfish." It was completed on June 30, 2019, and began operations on September 26, 2019. The airport is south of Tiananmen Square, west of downtown Langfang, northeast of Xiong'an, Xiong'an New Area, and south of Beijing Capital International Airport, and serves Jing-Jin-Ji, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Beijing Capital International Airport
Beijing Capital International Airport is one of two international airports serving Beijing, the other one being Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX). It is located northeast of Beijing's city center, in an exclave of Chaoyang District and the surroundings of that exclave in suburban Shunyi District. The airport is owned and operated by the Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited, a state-controlled company. The airport's IATA Airport code, PEK, is based on the city's former romanized name, Peking. Beijing Capital has rapidly ascended in rankings of the world's busiest airports in the past decade. Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport
Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport is an airport built to replace the commercial airline service of the old Wuhu Wanli Airport, and serves the cities of Wuhu and Xuancheng in Anhui Province, China. The airport is located in Wanzhi Town, Wanzhi District, about from downtown Wuhu City and from downtown Xuancheng. It began in June 2012, and it took four years to select the airport site from the original ten candidates. It received approval from the national government in 2016. The airport opened on 30 April 2021. Facilities The airport has a runway (class 4D), a terminal building, and 8 aircraft parking aprons. It is projected to serve 1.2 million passengers and 5000 tons of cargo annually by 2025. Xuancheng
Xuancheng () is a city in the southeast of Anhui province. Archeological digs suggest that the city has been settled for over 4,000 years, and has been under formal administration since the Qin dynasty. Located in the lower Yangtze River drainage basin and Yangtze River Delta, it borders Wuhu to the northwest, Chizhou to the west, Huangshan to the southwest, and the provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu to the southeast and northeast respectively. History Archeological digs in Xuancheng have found pottery and stoneware indicative of the Liangzhu Culture. During the Spring and Autumn period, the area belonged to the State of Wu, although, upon the decline of Wu, the area was also ruled by the State of Chu and the State of Yue. Wuhu () is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Anhui province, China. Sitting on the southeast bank of the Yangtze River, Wuhu borders Xuancheng to the southeast, Chizhou and Tongling to the southwest, Hefei city to the northwest, Ma'anshan city to the northeast, Jiangsu Province to the east, and is approximately southwest of Nanjing. Huangshan Tunxi International Airport () is an airport in Tunxi District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It mainly serves tourists to Mount Huangshan, one of China's top tourist destinations. Huangshan City
Huangshan (), is a prefecture-level city in southern Anhui Province, People's Republic of China. Huangshan means ''Yellow Mountain'' in Chinese and the city is named after the famously scenic Yellow Mountains which cover much of the city's vast geographic expanse. The prefectural city of Huangshan includes three urban districts and four counties. The urban center of Huangshan was originally the city of Tunxi and is now called Tunxi District. Locals still call the city Tunxi to distinguish urban core from other parts of Huangshan. Huangshan occupies the southernmost part of Anhui. Hefei Xinqiao International Airport
Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is the main airport serving Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, China. It is located near the town of Gaoliu in Shushan District, from the city center. Construction started in December 2008 with a total investment of 3.728 billion yuan. Opened on 30 May 2013, it replaced Luogang Airport as Hefei's main airport. In December 2022, Hefei gained direct flights to Europe when Condor started flights to Frankfurt in Germany. Facilities The first phase of construction includes one runway which is 3,400 meters long and 45 meters wide (class 4E), and a 108,500 square-meter terminal building, to handle a projected annual volume of 11 million passengers and 150,000 tons of cargo by 2020. Hefei (; ) is the capital and largest city of Anhui Province, People's Republic of China. A prefecture-level city, it is the political, economic, and cultural center of Anhui. Its population was 9,369,881 as of the 2020 census and its built-up (or ''metro'') area made up of four urban districts plus Feidong, Feixi and Changfeng counties being urbanized, was home to 7,754,481 inhabitants.
