Ahmed Saeed (actor)
Ahmed Saeed is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career 1997–2010: Debut and early releases On 13 June 1997, Saeed made his screen debut in a video single alongside Hassan Afeef and Mariyam Nisha. Afterwards, he played a role in Yoosuf Rafeeu's ''Dhiriulhumakee Mieebaa?''. He made his official film debut in Fathimath Nahula's debut direction '' Fahuneyvaa'' (1998), starring opposite Hussain Sobah, Jamsheedha Ahmed and Mariyam Nisha which portrays the love-conflict of a man between a prominent stage performer and a deaf-mute poor girl. Saeed played the role of Ahmed, a childhood friend of Ziyan who secretly marries two girls. The film was critically appreciated by critics and was a Hit commercially by screening twenty six housefull shows at cinema. Ali Shameel
Ali Shameel is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career In 1986, Shameel took part in a stage-play titled CDS-6, alongside Kashima Shakir, Mohamed Rasheed and Chilhiya Moosa Manik which was appreciated among the audience and he continues to feature in several other stage dramas. In 1992, Shameel made his career debut in Ahmed Sharmeel and Ibrahim Waheed's family drama film ''Dhon Manma'' (1992) alongside Haajara Abdul Kareem, Ibrahim Shakir and Sharmeel. The film tells the story of a step-mother who strives to create a bond with her step-kids. This was followed by his performance as a violent boyfriend in the Abdulla Shujau's '' Nafrathu'' (1994) starring opposite Aishath Shiranee and written by himself. Ali Azim
Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Before he pursued a career in acting Azim worked as a dancer and stage performer. He was first recognized by the audience for his facial expressions while dancing. While working in the Animation Dance Group, the team made a short children's film ''Lollypop'' with "no serious intention but for entertainment". The film which features Azim in a "forgettable" role did not much help to accelerate his career. This was followed by Abdul Faththaah's 5 episodes drama series '' Kaiveni'', starred opposite Mariyam Zuhura. Aminath Suha Musthafa (born 7 May 1997), commonly known as Aminath Shuha is a Maldivian film actress and former TV presenter. Career Prior to acting, Shuha worked as a show presenter and host in several television programs from Ice TV. For her presentation in of the shows ''Loabin'' (2017), she was attracted to negative reception from the audience, due to her flirtatious behavior which she attributed as "required as per the concept of the show". Hamid Ali is a Maldivian film director, producer, actor and writer. Career In 1993, Ali starred in two films; ''Mithutu'' and ''Vari''. The following year, he starred alongside Hassan Afeef, Arifa Ibrahim, Lillian Saeed and Mariyam Haajara in Ibrahim Rasheed's family drama '' Dhevana An'bi'', in which he played a negative character, Amjad who separates a happy couple for enmity. Amjad Ibrahim Didi (born 11 September 1967), commonly known as Amjad Ibrahim is a Maldivian film director and screenwriter. Early life After completing eleven years of service in Maldives National Defence Force, Ibrahim decided to pursue a career in film direction due to his "fondness" towards film-making process. Mariyam Azza (born 20 April 1989) is a Maldivian film actress. She is the daughter of actress Aminath Rasheedha and younger sister to actress turned director Aishath Rishmy Early life Born in Malé, Azza is the daughter of actress Aminath Rasheedha and the sister of actress Aishath Rishmy. Hussain Munawwar (born 5 February 1998), commonly known as Kuda Foolhu is a Maldivian film director, cinematographer, producer and actor. Career In 2006, Munawwar starred as the character Kudafoolhu, a manipulative devil under the strict instructions of his master, in the first installment of Yoosuf Shafeeu-directed short film series, '' Vasvaas'' which proved to be a breakthrough for him with his humorous and child-friendly act. Ahmed Nimal is a Maldivian actor, director, editor, writer and producer. Early life Prior to acting in films, Nimal worked at Maldives Meteorological Service office. His interest in films and acting grew due to the influence of his colleagues including Easa Shareef and other friends who actively take part in theatre plays. Career Nimal made his career debut with ''Nufoozu'' (1984), an initiation by Shareef and his colleagues. Ibrahim Jihaad Shavee commonly known as Ibrahim Jihad (born 30 November 1980) is a Maldivian actor. Career Abdul Faththaah's horror film '' Eynaa'' was released in 2004, which appears Sheela Najeeb, Mohamed Manik, Ahmed Shah, Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi, Jihad and Nashidha Mohamed as six colleagues who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival.
