''Sumolah'' (''Let's Sumo!'') is a 2007 Malaysian action-comedy film starring Afdlin Shauki and featuring the Japanese sport of sumo wrestling. The film was shot in Malaysia and Japan. The film has a multi-national cast including Thai actress Inthira Charoenpura who was previously known for her performance in ''Nang Nak'', and Singaporean actor Gurmit Singh known for his performance in the sitcom ''Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd''. The plot of the film revolves about what would happen if an unambitious Malay ''mat rempit'' is forced to enter the challenging world of sumo. Azean Irdawaty binti Yusoef (27 February 1950 – 17 December 2013) was a Malaysian actress and singer, whose career spanned 40 years. Personal life Irdawaty began her singing career in 1970, and also had a film and television acting career. Death In 2008, she was diagnosed with cancer. On the night of 9 December 2013, she was admitted to the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) after falling unconscious. Azean Irdawaty died from liver failure, caused by cancer, on 17 December, aged 63. Mior Ahmad Fuad bin Mior Badri (22 December 1966 – 2 April 2010), better known by his stage name Din Beramboi, was a Malaysian comedian, actor and radio DJ and was widely known as a talented impersonator and stand-up comic who was very apt at improvisation. His memorable characters include Pak Rahim in the comedy series ''Afi dan Abah'' and the puppet Kicap in the talk show ''Tom Tom Bak'', both shown on Astro Ceria.
