BC Zenit Saint Petersburg (russian: БК Зенит Санкт Петербург), formerly known as BC Dynamo Moscow Region (2003–2007) and BC Triumph Lyubertsy (2007–2014), is a Russian professional basketball team that is located in Saint Petersburg, Russia, since 2014. The 2021–22 VTB United League is the 13th season of the VTB United League. It is the 9th season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level. Teams A total of 10 teams from three countries contest the league, including eight sides from Russia, one from Belarus, and one from Kazakhstan. BC Khimki didn't apply for this season because of the financial difficulties. On 24 February 2022 Kalev/Cramo terminated their membership with VTB United League due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The next day the league confirmed receiving declaration letter from the club. BC Kalev, known as BC Kalev/Cramo for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Tallinn, Estonia. BC Khimki (russian: БК Химки) is a Russian professional basketball team that is based in Khimki, Moscow Oblast. The club's senior men's first team participates in the Russian Basketball Super League 1. The club's full official name is BC Khimki Moscow Region. Khimki has a Moscow-based rivalry with the Russian club CSKA Moscow. BC UNICS (russian: БК УНИКС) is a professional basketball club in Kazan, Russia, that plays in the VTB United League, and formerly played in the EuroLeague. On February 28, 2022, EuroLeague Basketball suspended the team because of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Their home arena is Basket-Hall Kazan. History 1991-1999 UNICS was established in 1991.
