Negeri Sembilan
Negeri Sembilan (, Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Nogoghi Sombilan'', ''Nismilan'') is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It borders Selangor on the north, Pahang in the east, and Malacca and Johor to the south. The name is believed to derive from the nine (''sembilan'') villages or '' nagari'' in the Minangkabau language (now known as ''luak'') settled by the Minangkabau, a people originally from West Sumatra (in present-day Indonesia). Minangkabau features are still visible today in traditional architecture and the dialect of Malay spoken. Unlike the hereditary monarchs of the other royal Malay states, the ruler of Negeri Sembilan is elected and is known as ''Yang di-Pertuan Besar'' instead of Sultan. The Tuanku Ja'afar Royal Gallery ( ms, Galeri Diraja Tuanku Ja'afar) is a gallery in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The gallery is about the former Negeri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Ja'afar. History The gallery building started its construction on 2 May 2012 and completed in 2013. The first phase of the gallery was opened on 4 December 2014 by Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Najihah. Architecture The building has a concept of modern colonial architecture. The gallery is housed in a three-story building with an area of 4,087 m2 and divided into 9 exhibition halls. Custom Museum
The Customs Museum ( ms, Muzium Adat) is a museum in Kuala Klawang, Jelebu District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, which exhibits facets and lifestyle of the Malaysian people and identity of Negeri Sembilan. It was constructed in 2005 and officially opened on 2 February 2008 by Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Mohamad Hasan and Minister for Culture, Arts and Heritage Rais Yatim. Port Dickson
Port Dickson (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Podeksen'', Jawi: ) is a beach resort in Port Dickson District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It is the second largest urban area in Negeri Sembilan after Seremban, its state capital. The town's administration is run by the Port Dickson Municipal Council ( ms, Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson; MPPD), formerly known as the Port Dickson District Council ( ms, Majlis Daerah Port Dickson) from 1 December 1979 until 1 February 2002. The Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium (STAR; Malay: ''Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman''), also known by its informal name Stadium Paroi and nickname The STAR of Paroi, is a multi-purpose stadium in Paroi, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. Inaugurated in 1992, the stadium initially holds a capacity of 20,000 people. In 2004, the capacity of stadium had been upgraded to 45,000 people for the hosting of the 2004 Sukma Games. It is currently home of Negeri Sembilan Football association. Malaysia was once ranked 9th in the world for tourist arrivals. The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2017 ranks Malaysia 25th out of 141 countries overall.
