Esparza's In Portland, Oregon In 2008
Esparza's Tex Mex Cafe, or simply Esparza's, was a Tex-Mex restaurant in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. Opened by Martha and Joe Esparza in 1990, the restaurant operated for more than 24 years before closing in January 2014. Its unusual menu included buffalo Tostada (tortilla), tostadas, ground ostrich and nopalitos, several varieties of tongue, beef brisket, and more traditional options such as enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos and tamales. Esparza's was one of Portland's most popular restaurants during the 1990s and was named "Restaurant of the Year" by ''The Oregonian'' in 1992. La Salsa is a chain of fast-casual Tex Mex restaurants founded in Los Angeles in 1979 and headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and is owned by Canadian franchisor MTY Food Group. The chain emphasizes fresh ingredients, and each restaurant features a self-serve salsa bar. Tortilla Coast
Tortilla Coast was a Tex-Mex restaurant located in Washington, D.C. Their Capitol Hill location was recognized as a popular watering hole for politicians and political staffers. Tortilla Coast was known for their frozen margarita pitchers and bottomless chips and salsa. Tia's Tex-Mex was a chain of Tex-Mex themed casual dining restaurants founded in Lubbock, Texas in the 1970s that grew to encompass 25 locations in 7 states, half of which were located in Texas. The Original Ninfa's on Navigation is a popular Mexican restaurant located at 2704 Navigation Boulevard in Houston, Texas. The restaurant serves both Tex-Mex cuisine, Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. Magnolia Cafe
Magnolia Cafe is a restaurant with one active location in Austin, Texas, in the United States. The restaurant at Lake Austin opened as Omelettry West in 1979, and became known as Magnolia Cafe during 1986–1987. The South Congress restaurant opened in 1988. The original Lake Austin location closed in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the South Congress location remains open.
