The majority of the city's tallest buildings are located north of the Interstate 794, south of Juneau Avenue, east of Interstate 43, and west of Lincoln Memorial Drive. 100 East Wisconsin, or The Faison Building is a skyscraper located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 411 East Wisconsin Center is a high-rise located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was built in 1985 on the former site of the Goldsmith Building. It was designed by Chicago architect, Harry Weese. It is the fifth tallest building in Milwaukee, and it was the second tallest building in Milwaukee at the time of its completion, surpassed by the Milwaukee Center in 1988. The building has been home to the Quarles & Brady law firm since 1986 and the von Briesen & Roper law firm since 1985. In 2005 the building was sold by TIAA-CREF to Triple Net Properties, a real estate company based in Santa Ana, California, for $95 million. It had an assessed value of $89.2 million in 2005. In 2014, Riverview Realty Partners, an affiliate of Stamford, Connecticut-based Five Mile Capital Partners purchased the building for $74 million and Quarles & Brady extended their lease for another 10 years. The Associated Bank River Center is a 28-story, postmodern high-rise building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The building, originally named the Milwaukee Center, was completed in 1988, during a small building boom in Milwaukee that also included 100 East Wisconsin. Until 100 East was completed, the Milwaukee Center was the second tallest building in Milwaukee. The peaked tower, red brick, and the use of green near the top pay homage to the style of the Milwaukee City Hall. The building is primarily used for offices, but has parking as well. University Club Tower is a condominium tower in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At 446 feet, it is the fourth tallest building in Wisconsin and the tallest residential building. It is located in Milwaukee's East Town neighborhood adjacent to the Lake Michigan shoreline. The tower as originally planned was designed by Santiago Calatrava was to have only 25 stories. That plan was cancelled because of concerns about parking and its potential to obstruct views of the lake. However, the project was revived in June 2002 and ground was broken two years later. The Skidmore, Owings and Merrill designed building was developed by Milwaukee-based real-estate developer Mandel Group with J.H. Findorff & Sons serving as the general contractor.
