Taylors Falls, Minnesota
Taylors Falls is a city in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, located at the junction of U.S. Highway 8 and Minnesota State Highway 95. The population was 1,055 at the 2020 census. History Taylors Falls was platted in 1850 or 1851, and incorporated in 1858. The city was named for Jesse Taylor, a territorial politician. A post office has been in operation in Taylors Falls since 1851. Wild Mountain is a ski area and snow tubing park in the winter and a waterpark during the summer. It is located in Amador Township, Chisago County, near Taylors Falls, Minnesota. Overview During the winter months, Wild Mountain deliver25 runsand 4 terrain parks across 100 acres of terrain. The ski area has 4 chairlifts, 4 rope tows and one conveyor. Wild Mountain enjoys a vintage base lodge which was originally constructed in 1960 and has had numerous additions. Welch Village is an American ski area near Red Wing, Minnesota. It was built by Leigh and Clem Nelson in 1965 and has grown considerably since then. It has a vertical elevation of approximately . Its traditional opening time is around the third Saturday in November. It is located near the Cannon River Valley. Spirit Mountain (ski Area)
Spirit Mountain is a ski area in Duluth, Minnesota. It was founded by the City of Duluth and was built in 1974. With a vertical elevation of approximately , it is the second tallest ski hill in Minnesota. Between 2014 and 2020, the executive director was Brandy Ream. The Spirit Mountain ski area held its grand opening on December 19–20, 1974. The idea was proposed by former Olympian George Hovland, who laid out the cross country trails, with support from then Mayor of Duluth Ben Boo. Local businessman Manley Goldfine served as Chairman of the Spirit Mountain Authority during its development. It greatly increased winter revenues in the city. Nisswa ( ) is a city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,971 at the 2010 census. Nisswa is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area, near Gull Lake.
