Sketch Comedy
Sketch comedy comprises a series of short, amusing scenes or vignettes, called "sketches", commonly between one and ten minutes long, performed by a group of comic actors or comedians. The form developed and became popular in vaudeville, and is used widely in variety shows, comedy talk shows, and some sitcoms and children's television series. The sketches may be improvised live by the performers, developed through improvisation before public performance, or scripted and rehearsed in advance like a play. Sketch comedians routinely differentiate their work from a "skit", maintaining that a skit is a (single) dramatized joke (or "bit") while a sketch is a comedic exploration of a concept, character, or situation.Sketch

TV Pirata
''TV Pirata'' (Pirate TV) was a weekly Brazilian comedy show aired on Rede Globo between 1988 and 1990, being re-aired monthly in 1992. Some of the writers later went on to form the comedy troupe Casseta & Planeta. The show was first aired in April 1988 to fill a gap on Rede Globo's Tuesday night prime time line-up and its comedy was inspired by sketch comedy shows such as Saturday Night Live and Monty Python's Flying Circus with a no-nonsense approach to Brazilian comedy (something unusual at the time as most of Brazilian humor consisted of weekly shows featuring the same comedy characters); however, it mixed a new style of comedy with elements of Brazilian culture such as football, politics, pop culture, telenovelas, economics and celebrities. No well-known figure or member of any economical or social class was spared from the show's cutting-edge humor. The premise of the show was a TV studio being invaded by pirates who took over the programming department and put a tape on ...

Hermes & Renato, known as Banana Mecânica from 2010 to 2013, is a Brazilian comedy troupe formed in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro in 1999 (and based in São Paulo as of 2002) by childhood friends Marco Antônio Alves, Fausto Fanti, Adriano Silva (also occasionally credited as Adriano Pereira), Felipe Torres and Bruno Sutter (later joined by Gil Brother from 2002 to 2008, and by Franco Fanti, Fausto's brother, from 2015 onwards), whose name was taken from the first characters they ever created for their sketches: Hermes (played by Alves) and Renato (played by Fausto). Other characters popularized by them include Luís Boça (Torres) – a geeky, naïve 32-year-old kidult who lives with his grandmother Lourdes (Alves) and speaks in a thick '' paulistano'' accent – and Joselito Sem-Noção (Silva) – an inconvenient trickster whose pranks always cause harm to those around him. Heavily influenced by comedians such as Os Trapalhões, Chespirito, Monty Python and Costinha alongsid ...

In De Gloria
''In de Gloria'' ("In the Glory") was a 2000–01 Flemish TV sketch comedy show, directed by Jan Eelen and produced by the company ''Woestijnvis''. The show ran on the Belgian public TV channel Canvas for two seasons of 10 episodes each. In Flanders itself, the series continues to enjoy significant popularity and critical praise, with several sketches having gained classic status. Despite the local popularity, the show has never been exported. Concept ''In de Gloria'' is a mockumentary in sketch show format. Every episode consists of a series of sketches that are mostly improvised around a central idea. The tone is tragicomical. You're Skitting Me
In Modern English, ''you'' is the second-person pronoun. It is grammatically plural, and was historically used only for the dative case, but in most modern dialects is used for all cases and numbers. History ''You'' comes from the Proto-Germanic demonstrative base *''juz''-, *''iwwiz'' from PIE *''yu''- (second person plural pronoun). Old English had singular, dual, and plural second-person pronouns. The dual form was lost by the twelfth century, and the singular form was lost by the early 1600s. The development is shown in the following table. Early Modern English distinguished between the plural '' ye'' and the singular ''thou''. As in many other European languages, English at the time had a T–V distinction, which made the plural forms more respectful and deferential; they were used to address strangers and social superiors. This distinction ultimately led to familiar ''thou'' becoming obsolete in modern English, although it persists in some English dialects. ''Your ...
