Ashanti Region
The Ashanti Region is located in southern part of Ghana and it is the third largest of 16 administrative regions, occupying a total land surface of or 10.2 percent of the total land area of Ghana. In terms of population, however, it is the most populated region with a population of 4,780,380 according to the 2011 census, accounting for 19.4% of Ghana's total population. The Ashanti Region is known for its major gold bar and cocoa production. The largest city and regional capital is Kumasi. Sekondi-Takoradi
Sekondi-Takoradi is a city in Ghana comprising the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi. It is the capital of Sekondi – Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly and the Western Region of Ghana. Sekondi-Takoradi is the region's largest city and an industrial and commercial centre, with a population of 445,205 people (2012). The chief industries in Sekondi-Takoradi are timber, cocoa processing, plywood, shipbuilding, its harbour and railway repair, and recently, sweet crude oil and crude oil. The fundamental job in Sekondi-Takoradi is fishing. Sekondi-Takoradi lies on the main railway lines to Kumasi and Accra. Bompeh Senior High Technical School
Bompeh Senior High Technical School is a senior high school located in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. History The school used to be one of the Axim Road Middle Schools. It was selected, expanded and developed into a junior high school by the Ghana Education Service in September 1976 and was named Axim Road Experimental Junior High School. In October 1985, upon the request of the Regional Directorate, the Director General of Education service upgraded the school to a senior high school level and the school was christened Bompeh Day Secondary School after the deceased Sekondi chief who showed much interest in education matters during his reign. It was not, however, until 1989 that the first batch of O/L students were presented. Dunkwa-On-Offin or simply Dunkwa, is a town and the capital of the Upper Denkyira East Municipal District, a district in the Central Region of south Ghana. Bishop Herman College, sometimes abbreviated to BIHECO, is a boys-only second-cycle institution located at Kpando in the Volta Region of Ghana. History Bishop Herman College was the first Catholic boys secondary school established by the Roman Catholic Church in the Volta Region of Ghana. Barekese Senior High School (Basec'') is a coeducational high school in Barekese in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Location Barekese is about from the central part of Kumasi and can be found off the Offinso Road through Abrepo Junction. History The school was established in 2004 and school opened its doors to the first batch of 81 students on 11 October 2004. The school's establishment was the brain-child of the people of Barekese. The community offered a six-classroom structure, which was the former Primary School for the Barekese Local School, and another block of classroom to house the administrative setup of the school. However, after so many years of toil and fruitless efforts, the Nwabiagya Rural Bank, with its headquarters at Barekese agreed to help establish the school.
