This List of Professional Bull Riders Champions provides lists of all the world champion title winners, including one livestock award which are won during the PBR World Finals event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bull Riding
Bull riding is a rodeo sport that involves a rider getting on a bucking bull and attempting to stay mounted while the animal tries to buck off the rider. American bull riding has been called "the most dangerous eight seconds in sports." To receive a score, the rider must stay on top of the bull for eight seconds with the use of one hand gripped on a bull rope tied behind the bull's forelegs. Touching the bull or themselves with the free hand, or failing to reach the eight-second mark, results in a no-score ride. Depending on the bull riding organization and the contest, up to four judges might judge the rider and four judge the bull on their performance. For most organizations, a perfect score is 100 points. In general, most professional riders score in the neighborhood of the mid-70s to the high 80s. Justin McBride
Justin Travis McBride (born August 7, 1979) is an American former professional bull rider. In his career, he competed on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit. He was a two-time PBR World Champion (2005 and 2007), has a record 32 career PBR event wins, and was the first professional bull rider to earn more than $5 million in the course of his career. McBride was inducted into the PBR’s Ring of Honor in 2009 and the Bull Riding Hall of Fame in 2020. Since retiring from bull riding, he has been a color commentator for the PBR's Premier Series (known as the Unleash the Beast Series since 2018) telecasts on CBS Sports Network. Bruiser (bull)
Bruiser #32Y (March 2, 2011 – May 17, 2022) was an American bucking bull. He is the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) World Champion Bull for 2016, 2017, and 2018. He is one of only two bucking bulls to win the title in three consecutive years. He is also the 2017 Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) Bucking Bull of the Year. Bruiser and Bodacious are the only bulls to win both titles and they also did it in the same year: Bruiser did it in 2017 and Bodacious in 1995. Bruiser is the PRCA Reserve Bucking Bull of the Year in 2015. Bruiser tied for the PBR title in 2016 with two other bulls (his brother, Long John, and Pearl Harbor), and the tiebreaker went to him. "Smooth Operator" is a song by English band Sade from their debut studio album, ''Diamond Life'' (1984), and was co-written by Sade and Ray St. John. It was released as the album's third single in the United Kingdom as a 7-inch single with "Spirit" as its B-side, and as a 12-inch maxi single with "Smooth Operator" and "Red Eye" on side A and "Spirit" on side B. In 2023, Woopaa was ranked No. 7 on the list of the top 30 bulls in PBR history. Background Woopaa was born on March 9, 2017. He is owned by Larry Barker of Barker Bulls and stock contractor Laramie WIlson of Hookin' W Ranch. He is a red-colored bull, whose brand is 124. His sire is Dances with Gravy, and his dam is BB 319. "Ridin' Solo" is the third single from Jason Derulo's self-titled debut album, produced by J.R. Rotem. The demo originally sampled "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by the Verve, but the sample was not cleared and was subsequently replaced with electronic motifs which are featured throughout the entire song. João Ricardo Vieira (born July 28, 1984, in Itatinga, São Paulo, Brazil), is a Brazilian professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. Ted Nuce
Ted Nuce (born January 19, 1961) is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. He is a 2009 ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee. He was the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) World Champion bull rider in 1985. He also won the Professional Bull Riders (PBR)'s inaugural World Finals event in 1994. He was also a co-founder of the PBR. A native of Escalon, California, Nuce turned pro in 1982. He was the champion of the PRCA California Circuit in bull riding in eight seasons: 1982, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1994. In 1996, the PBR inducted him into their Ring of Honor, an award "given annually to individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the sport of professional bull riding, both in and out of the arena." Jason "Boudreaux" Byron Campbell Jr. (born August 15, 1998) is an American professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. Richard Neale "Tuff" Hedeman (born March 2, 1963) is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. He won the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) bull riding world championship three times (1986, 1989 and 1991), as well as the 1995 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) world championship. He also won the 1993 world championship for the now-defunct Bull Riders Only (BRO) organization. He is also one of the co-founders of the PBR.
