Ananda Chandra Agarwala
Ananda Chandra Agarwala (1874–1940) was a writer, poet, historian, translator and administrative officer from Sonitpur district of Assam. He is known as Bhangoni Kunwor (ভাঙনি কোঁৱৰ) for his translation of several English poems into Assamese. He was elected as a president of the Asam Sahitya Sabha in 1934 held at Mangaldoi. He was honoured with the title of ''Raibahadur'' by the ruling British Government. Chhabi Biswas
Chhabi Biswas (''Chabi Biśbās'') (13 July 1900 – 11 June 1962) was an Indian actor, primarily known for his performances in Tapan Sinha's '' Kabuliwala'' and Satyajit Ray's films '' Jalshaghar'' (''The Music Room'', 1958), '' Devi'' (''The Goddess'', 1960) and ''Kanchenjungha'' (1962). He is best remembered for his numerous roles as the quintessential aristocratic patriarch, and was himself the scion of a rich and cultured North Kolkata family. He was born on 12 July 1900. Saratchandra Mitra (Sarat Chandra Mitra in his English writings, sometimes as Çarat Candra Mitra) (15 November 1863 – 15 December 1938) was a Bengali folklorist and scholar who studied and wrote extensively on plants and animals in Indian lore. Although trained in legal practice, he was appointed in later life as the founding head and professor of the department of anthropology at the University of Calcutta. Sarada Charan Das
Sarada Charan Das (15 May 1906 – 6 September 1992) was an Indian Bengali polymath, scientist, confectioner, entrepreneur and businessman. He was the youngest son and successor of Krishna Chandra Das (K.C. Das) and the grandson of the legendary Bengali confectioner Nobin Chandra Das (the inventor of the Rossogolla and widely known as the Columbus of Rossogolla ). Ajoy Home (2 May 1913 – 30 October 1992) was a Bengali aviculturist, ornithologist and naturalist of India, based in the eastern state of West Bengal. The Archana Award was conferred upon him by the Bangiya Sahitya Parishad on 24 July 1992. Dhirendralal Dhar (12 January 1913 – 20 September 1991) was a Bengali writer. In 1979, he received the Indian National Award for his contributions to Children's literature. His pen name was Shridhar Munshi. Early life Dhar was born in Kolkata in British India. He studied in Ariya Mission Institution and then in Vidyasagar College. Ajit Kumar Dutta, known as Ajit Dutta, (23 September 1907 – 30 December 1979) was a prominent Bengali poet, writer, essayist and professor. Early life Ajit Dutta passed the entrance examination from Kishorilal Jubilee School in Dhaka in 1924 and was admitted to the Jagannath College ( present day Jagannath University ).
