Calasparra
Calasparra () is a municipality in the autonomous community of Murcia, Spain. It shares borders with Cieza, Mula, Cehegín, Moratalla and province of Albacete. History There were people living in Calasparra during the Bronze and Iron Ages. The present-day municipality was also occupied by people during the Roman Iberian Peninsula era as largely attested by several ceramic remains. There is archaeological evidence of the presence of people during the Muslim Iberian Peninsula era in the territory. A remarkable site is Villa Vieja or Despoblado de Villa Vieja, which consists of an ancient hamlet. Since the Moors' conquest of the Iberian Peninsula, there was an aspiration from some Christian kingdoms to conquer the Peninsula. Mazarrón
Mazarrón is a municipality in the autonomous community and province of Murcia, southeastern Spain. The municipality has an area of , and a population of 31,562 inhabitants in 2019. A military fort (named C1 or ''Castillitos''-small castles) built between 1930 and 1936 during the reign of Alfonso XIII of Spain and the Second Spanish Republic exists as a tourist attraction on the old road between Mazarrón and Cartagena, and although it is accessible from the Bay of Mazarrón it is not in the municipality itself. The Bay of Mazarrón is sheltered by the last foothills of the Sierra de la Almenara, a mining area since the Carthaginian era. Over 35 km of beaches, unspoiled coves and rocky sea beds. Lorquí
Lorquí is a Spanish municipality in the autonomous community of Murcia. It has a population of 6,493 (2006) and an area of 15 km2 . Demographics The population of Lorquí has more than quadrupled since 1900 and continues to grow at a fast pace, growing 18% from 1991 to 2005. Sports The community enjoys soccer games at the Juan de la Cierva stadium, completed in 2002, which can seat 2,000 spectators. The stadium is home to the Club de Fútbol Atlético Ciudad. Lorca, Spain
Lorca () is a municipality and city in the autonomous community of the Region of Murcia in south-eastern Spain, southwest of the city of Murcia. The municipality had a population of 95,515 in 2020, up from the 2001 census total of 77,477. Lorca is the municipality with the second largest surface area in Spain, , after Cáceres, Spain, Cáceres. The city is home to Lorca Castle and the Collegiate church dedicated to St. Patrick. In the Middle Ages Lorca was the frontier city between Christian and Muslim Spain. Librilla
Librilla is a Spanish village in the Murcia region. It had a population of 4614 in 2010 and an area of 56 km2. It's placed in both sides of the Orón river. Geography Librilla is located next to the Algecira's stream and it's crossed by the Oron river. It's situated in the shadow of Sierra de Carrascoy and the slopes of El Castellar, bordering the municipalities of Murcia to the north and east, north by Mula and Alhama de Murcia to the south and west. Fuente Álamo de Murcia is a town and municipality in the Region of Murcia, southern Spain. It is situated 22 km northwest of Cartagena and 35 km south west of Murcia. The town lies in the basin of the Mar Menor surrounded by the mountains of Algarrobo, Los Gómez, Los Victorias and the Carrascoy. The water from these mountains flows down into the Rambla de Fuente Álamo and then onto the Mar Menor. Cieza () is a town and municipality in Spain, in the autonomous community of Murcia. It is the capital of the Vega Alta ''comarca'', an old form of provincial subdivision). Ceutí is a municipality in the autonomous region of Murcia in southeastern Spain and is located in the south-east of the northeasternquarter of the Region. As of 2021, there are 12,199 inhabitants. Cehegín
Cehegín () is a town and municipality in the Comarca del Noroeste of the autonomous community of the Region of Murcia, Spain, situated some 66 km from the city of Murcia. It has a population of approximately 16,248 with 8227 males and 8021 females. It is crossed by the rivers Argos and Quipar. Agriculture & Business The area has traditionally been an important source of marble, particularly red marble, which is exported as far afield as Japan and Argentina.
