List Of Molluscs Of Falcón State, Venezuela
Falcón State is a state on the coast in the northwestern part of the country of Venezuela. Falcón State covers a total surface area of 24,800 km² and, in 2010, had an estimated population of 950,057. There are four national parks in the state: the Médanos de Coro National Park, the Cueva de la Quebrada del Toro, Morrocoy, and Juan Crisóstomo Falcón National Park. A large number of species of terrestrial, freshwater and marine molluscs are found in the wild in Falcón State. However, most of the marine mollusks in the area are the same species that occur elsewhere in the Caribbean faunal zone. This is a partial list of the molluscs of Falcón State. The families are listed alphabetically within the classes. Whether the family is marine, terrestrial or freshwater is indicated after the name of the family, but there is no attempt to separate marine species from non-marine species. Class Gastropoda Achatinidae – terrestrial * ''Achatina fulica'' (Bowdick, 1822)Cat ...

Falcon In Venezuela
Falcons () are birds of prey in the genus ''Falco'', which includes about 40 species. Falcons are widely distributed on all continents of the world except List of birds of Antarctica, Antarctica, though closely related raptors did occur there in the Eocene. Adult falcons have thin, tapered wings, which enable them to fly at high speed and change direction rapidly. Fledgling falcons, in their first year of flying, have longer flight feathers, which make their configuration more like that of a general-purpose bird such as a wikt:broadwing, broad wing. This makes flying easier while learning the exceptional skills required to be effective hunters as adults. The falcons are the largest genus in the Falconinae subfamily of Falconidae, which itself also includes another subfamily comprising Caracara (subfamily), caracaras and a few other species. All these birds kill with their beaks, using a Beak#Tomia, tomial "tooth" on the side of their beaks—unlike the hawks, eagles, and other ...
