This is a list of Interior Ministers of Denmark since the establishment of the Danish Ministry of the Interior in 1848. The Ministry was abolished in 2007 with most of the portfolio becoming part of a new Ministry of Welfare. It was reestablished in 2009. Interior Minister Of Denmark
The Minister of the Interior and Health of Denmark ( da, Indenrigs- og sundhedsminister) is a member of the Danish cabinet and the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Health. After the 2007 Folketing elections, the ministry was disbanded, and its areas of responsibility divided between two newly created ministries, the Ministry of Welfare and the Ministry of Health and Prevention. With the announcement of the first Lars Løkke Rasmussen cabinet in 2009, the Ministry of Welfare was abolished and replaced by the Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs, a de facto re-establishment of two old ministries. Orla Lehmann
Peter Martin Orla Lehmann (15 May 1810 – 13 September 1870) was a Danish statesman, a key figure in the development of Denmark's parliamentary government. He was born in Copenhagen, son of (1775–1856), assessor, later conference councillor () and deputy in the College of Commerce. His father was German, born in Haselau at Uetersen in Holstein, while his mother was Danish and the daughter of a mayor in Copenhagen. The family belonged to the same social circle as the Ørsted brothers and the poet Oehlenschläger. Orla was put in the German ''realschule'' in the St. Petri parish, later moved to the and began his studies at the University of Copenhagen in 1827. After a year studying literature, when he read Heine in the company of Hans Christian Andersen, he began his studies in law. After a study program which he found tedious, he graduated in 1833. Hugo Egmont Hørring
Hugo Egmont Hørring (17 August 1842 – 13 February 1909) was a Danish politician, a member of the Højre political party. He was Council President of Denmark from 1897 to 1900 as the leader of the Cabinet of Hørring. Biography Hørring was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He became a student in 1860 at Borgerdydskolen in Christianshavn and received a cand.jur. degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1868. He held various positions in the Ministry of the Interior and in 1882 became director of the Royal Greenland Trading Department (''Den Kongelige Grønlandske Handel''). Hørring retired from government service in April 1900. Hans Peter Ingerslev
Hans Peter Ingerslev (3 May 1831 – 20 April 1896) was a Danish politician and minister. He was born in 1831 on Marselisborg Manor in Aarhus, owned by his parents Caspar Peder Rothe Ingerslev and Marie Meulengracht. Hans Peter Ingerslev graduated from the Cathedral School in Aarhus in 1849 and in 1864 he inherited Marselisborg Manor from his father. He was president of Viby parish council between 1865 and 1874 and member of Aarhus County council between 1865 and 1885. In 1873, Ingerslev was elected to the Danish Folketing for Højre, a predecessor for the Conservative People's Party, and he served for two terms; from 1873 to 1876 and from 1879 to 1884. From 1884 to his death, Ingerslev served in the Landsting. From 1885 to 1896 he was Minister of the Interior. During his tenure as Minister of the Interior, Ingerslev accomplished laws related to social services, pensions and healthcare. Christen Andreas Fonnesbech
Christen Andreas Fonnesbech (7 July 1817 – 17 May 1880) was a Danish lawyer, landowner and politician. He was Council President of Denmark from 1874 to 1875. Biography Fonnesbech was born in Copenhagen, where his father was a dressmaker. He became a student in 1835 and earned a cand.jur. degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1840. He began his tenure and became city clerk in Hillerød. In 1843 he bought the estate Vesterbygård at Holbæk on Zealand. In 1863 he acted as president of the County Council in Odense. Fonnesbech was also a member of the Folketing from 1858 to 1875. He became a Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1860, Commander of the 1st Degree in 1866, received the Grand Cross in 1870, was awarded the Cross of Honour (''Dannebrogsmand'') in 1871, and received the Medal of Merit in Gold in 1874. Wolfgang Von Haffner
Wolfgang von Haffner (10 September 1810 – 28 April 1887) was a Danish military officer and politician. He was born in Valby as a son of Johan Wolfgang Reinhold Haffner and a nephew of Adam Mogens Wenzel Haffner. In November 1832, he married Sophie Wilhelmine Caroline Krieger (1807–1889). He had a military career in his early life, being second lieutenant at the age of 15. He became Chamberlain (office), chamberlain in 1847 and general à la suite in 1871.
