Christian Emil Krag-Juel-Vind-Frijs
Christian Emil Krag-Juel-Vind-Frijs (8 December 1817 – 12 October 1896) was a Danish nobleman and politician. He was Council President of Denmark from 1865 to 1870 as the leader of the Frijs Cabinet. Biography Frijs graduated from Sorø Academy in 1835, thereby achieving his studentereksamen. He went on to study law, graduating cand.jur. in 1842. Being the wealthiest large squire of Denmark and personally honoured by his peasants Frijs played a role in politics from the 1850s. Cabinet Of Denmark
The Cabinet of Denmark ( da, regering) has been the chief executive body and the government of the Kingdom of Denmark since 1848. The Cabinet is led by the Prime Minister. There are around 25 members of the Cabinet, known as "ministers", all of whom are also heads of specific government ministries. The Cabinet has usually been composed of Ministers from two or more parties forming a coalition government. Still, most of these governments have been minority governments, relying on the support of still other parties. Cabinets are formally appointed by the Monarch. In practice, once a government has stepped down, there is a fixed set of rules for appointing an investigator (most often the future Prime Minister), with the job of trying to form a new government. The Prime Minister will lead the Cabinet by convention. Valdemar Rudolph Von Raasløff
Valdemar Rudolph von Raasløff (6 November 1815 – 14 February 1883) was a Danish politician, military officer, and diplomat. Biography Raasløff was born at Altona in the Duchy of Holstein. He spent his school years at Sorø and in 1832 he was admitted to the Royal Military College (''Kgl. Militære Højskole''), from which he graduated in 1838 as second lieutenant in the artillery. Instead of serving in Denmark, he applied for service abroad and in 1840–41 he served in the French Army in Algeria. He later summarized his experiences in Algeria in a book, which was translated into several languages. In 1849–50, he served as captain in the Danish army in the First War of Schleswig, however, in 1851, he left the military in order to go to America and become an engineer. In 1857, he was appointed Denmark's Minister Resident in Washington, DC. Carl Van Dockum
Carl Edvard van Dockum was a Danish admiral and minister that was notable for his participation in the Battle of Jasmund in the Second Schleswig War. Biography Carl Edvard van Dockum was the son of Vice Admiral and his wife. He began as early as 1815 at the ', which he completed as a second lieutenant with HM the King's Honorary Saber in 1821. After a voyage to the West Indies, van Dockum went, with a passport, into French service, where he excelled in several battles such as the Battle of Navarino, and ended up being decorated with the Legion of Honor. At the end of 1829 he returned to Denmark, where he had been promoted to first lieutenant the year before. After service as an enlistment officer, and on various ships, he became in 1840 adjutant to the Governor-General of the Danish West Indies possessions, as well as the harbor master at St. Croix and military secretary at the General Government. Wolfgang Von Haffner
Wolfgang von Haffner (10 September 1810 – 28 April 1887) was a Danish military officer and politician. He was born in Valby as a son of Johan Wolfgang Reinhold Haffner and a nephew of Adam Mogens Wenzel Haffner. In November 1832, he married Sophie Wilhelmine Caroline Krieger (1807–1889). He had a military career in his early life, being second lieutenant at the age of 15. He became Chamberlain (office), chamberlain in 1847 and general à la suite in 1871. Jacob Brønnum Scavenius Estrup, (16 April 1825 – 24 December 1913), was a Denmark, Danish politician, member of the Højre party.
