List Of Mariah Carey Live Performances
American singer Mariah Carey has undergone thirteen tours, four residencies, along with numerous one-off concerts and televised performances. Carey did not do a significant amount of public performing in her early years in the music industry, partially due to stage fright. Despite this she still made appearances and performed at the 33rd Annual Grammy Awards and on Saturday Night Live. One of her first significant performances was at MTV Unplugged, which received positive reception as Carey silenced critics saying her vocals were studio-made. From 1993 to 2000, Carey toured for her albums: ''Music Box'', ''Daydream'', ''Butterfly'' and ''Rainbow''. In 2001, Carey did not tour for the soundtrack to her film ''Glitter'' due to being hospitalized for "extreme exhaustion". Her first performance after her 'breakdown' was a performance of "Hero" at '' America: A Tribute to Heroes''. After the release of her ninth studio album ''Charmbracelet'', Carey embarked another tour which targeted ...

E=MC² (Mariah Carey Album)
''E=MC²'' is the eleventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey. It was released in the United States on April 15, 2008, by Island Records. The singer began recording the album in 2007 in Anguilla, after writing and composing most of its material during and after her 2006 Adventures of Mimi Tour. Carey worked with various songwriters and producers on the project, including Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Stargate, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, Scott Storch and Danja. The album revealed a more personal side of the singer, illustrated in its declarative theme of emancipation from her previous marriage, and from her personal and professional setbacks. It was meant to be a continuation, or a second part of her tenth studio album, ''The Emancipation of Mimi'' (2005). Although it shared similar vocal production as well as an inclination to her signature pop and R&B ballads, the album also encompassed a variety of dance-oriented and uptempo styles. Carey collaborate ...

Concert Residencies
A concert residency (also known as musical residency or simply residency) is a series of concerts, similar to a concert tour, but only performed at one location. ''Pollstar'' Awards defined residency as a run of 10 or more shows at a single venue. An artist who performs on a concert residency is called a resident performer. Concert residencies have been the staple of the Las Vegas Strip for decades, pioneered by singer-pianist Liberace in the 1940s and Frank Sinatra with the Rat Pack in the 1950s. Céline Dion's A New Day... is the most successful concert residency of all time, grossing over US$385 million ($ million in dollars) and drawing nearly three million people to 717 shows. This commercial success was credited for changing and revitalizing Las Vegas residencies, which were once known as where singers go when their careers are in decline. Céline Dion is further recognized as the "Queen of Las Vegas". History The concept of a concert residency was established by p ...

Triumphant (Get 'Em)
"Triumphant (Get 'Em)" is a song by American singer Mariah Carey. It was written by Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Rick Ross, and Meek Mill. The song was released on August 3, 2012, and Carey stated the song was written when her then-husband, actor Nick Cannon, was hospitalized with acute kidney failure in 2012, and was also inspired by the death of global superstar singer, and her friend, Whitney Houston. The song is a mid tempo hip hop ballad that "mixes a soft beat with piano accompaniment." Its lyrics convey a message of self-worth and perseverance, with Carey urging listeners to "Reach for the stars / Be all that you are." The song received mixed reviews, with many saying the singer was overshadowed by the hip-hop duo, and should have had more presence on her comeback single. Two accompanying versions were released alongside the original, titled the "Pulse Club" and "Vintage Throwback" remixes. Commercial impact was also low, with the song charting at position 15 ...
