The Hawai'i International Film Festival (HIFF) is an annual film festival held in the United States state of Hawaii. HIFF has a focus on Asian-Pacific cinema, education, and the work of new and emerging filmmakers. HIFF’s primary festival is held annually in Honolulu over November, with additional screenings and events held across the Hawaiian Islands of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, Kauaʻi and Maui. Dato' Mustapha Azahari bin Maarof ( Jawi: مصطفى ازاهاري معروف; 1 January 1935 – 15 December 2014) was a Malaysian actor. He appeared in Singapore’s ''Hang Tuah'' (1959), '' 1957: Hati Malaya'' (2007) and '' Chermin'' (2007), among many other films. Maarof won the Veterans' Award presented at the 10th Malaysian Film Festival. Ahmad Azhar bin Othman (born 24 November 1968), better known by his stage name Awie, is a Malaysian singer, musician, and actor. Awie is considered one of the greatest Malaysian vocalist of all time. Born in Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur, Awie's music career start in 1985 with a rock band called Wings, which he became a lead vocal at age 17.
