Bouse ( ''rhymes with "house"'') is a census-designated place (CDP) and ghost town in La Paz County, Arizona, United States. Founded in 1908 as a mining camp, the economy of Bouse is now based on tourism, agriculture, and retirees. The population was 996 at the 2010 census. It was originally named Brayton after the store owner John Brayton Martin. Geography Bouse is located north of the center of La Paz County at (33.933657, -114.008268). Arizona State Route 72 passes through the community, leading northwest to Parker and southeast to Hope. According to the United States Census Bureau, the Bouse CDP has a total area of , all land. Camp Bouse, east in Butler Valley, is the former site of a World War II US Army tank training camp. Utah, commonly known as Utah Beach, was the code name for one of the five sectors of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944 (D-Day), during World War II.
