Volker Schlöndorff
Volker Schlöndorff (; born 31 March 1939 Friday) is a German film director, screenwriter and producer who has worked in Germany, France and the United States. He was a prominent member of the New German Cinema of the late 1960s and early 1970s, which also included Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders, Margarethe von Trotta and Rainer Werner Fassbinder. He won an Academy Awards, Oscar as well as the Palme d'Or at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival for ''The Tin Drum (film), The Tin Drum'' (1979), the film version of the novel by Nobel Prize in Literature, Nobel Prize-winning author Günter Grass. Lilli Palmer (; born Lilli Marie Peiser; 24 May 1914 – 27 January 1986) was a German actress and writer. After beginning her career in British films in the 1930s, she would later transition to major Cinema of the United States, Hollywood productions, earning a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance in ''But Not for Me (1959 film), But Not for Me'' (1959). Stéphane Audran (born Colette Suzanne Dacheville; 8 November 1932 – 27 March 2018) was a French actress. She was known for her performances in award-winning films such as ''The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie'' (1972) and ''Babette's Feast'' (1987), and in critically acclaimed films like ''The Big Red One'' (1980) and ''Violette Nozière'' (1978). Jean Delannoy
Jean Delannoy (12 January 1908 – 18 June 2008) was a French actor, film editor, screenwriter and film director. Biography Although Delannoy was born in a Paris suburb, his family was from Haute-Normandie in the north of France. He was a Protestant, a descendant of Huguenots, some of whom fled the country during the French Wars of Religion, and settled first in Wallonia. Afterwards, their name became De la Noye and then Delano family, Delano, who were on the second ship to immigrate to Plymouth, Massachusetts. He was a student in Paris when he began acting in silent films. He eventually landed a job with Paramount Studios Parisian facilities, working his way up to head film editor. In 1934 he directed his first film and went on to a long career, both writing and directing. ''Chariots of the Gods'' (german: Erinnerungen an die Zukunft) is a 1970 West German documentary film directed by Harald Reinl. It is based on Erich von Däniken's book ''Chariots of the Gods?'', a pseudoscientific book that theorizes extraterrestrials impacted early human life and evolution. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. Synopsis The film begins by introducing the cargo cults established by South Pacific Natives after coming in contact with American planes in World War II. It claims that it is likely that all religions began in a similar fashion. The viewer is then presented with various ancient texts, architecture, and artwork. Some of these include the Bible, the Pyramids, the ''Epic of Gilgamesh'', and the Nazca Lines. Mario Adorf (; born 8 September 1930) is a German actor, considered to be one of the great veteran character actors of European cinema. Since 1954, he has played both leading and supporting roles in over 200 film and television productions, among them the 1979 Oscar-winning film ''The Tin Drum''. Enrico Maria Salerno (September 18, 1926 – February 28, 1994) was an Italian actor, voice actor and film director.
