Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Arapiraca is a municipality located in the center of the Brazilian state of Alagoas, some from the state capital, Maceió. The Campeonato Alagoano is the football league of the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Format 2020 First Division The Campeonato Alagoano is divided into three stages. *First stage: simple round-robin, in which all eight teams play each other once. The four best-placed teams go to the Semifinals. *Semifinals: home-and-away playoff with the top 4 teams of the first stage (1st place x 4th place, 2nd place x 3rd place), with the two winners going to the Finals. *Finals: home-and-away playoff between the two qualified teams. Alagoas (, ) is one of the 27 federative units of Brazil and is situated in the eastern part of the Northeast Region. São Francisco Futebol Clube, commonly known as São Francisco, is a Brazilian football club based in Rio Branco, Acre. The club currently competes in Campenato Acreano, the top division of the Acre state football league. Their colors are blue and red. History The club was founded on October 4, 1967 by Vincente Barata. He was the club's jack of all trades, working at the same time as president, head coach, equipment manager, masseur, and player. São Francisco reached twice the Torneio da Imprensa (also known as Torneio Início) finals, the first in 2006 and the second in 2007, being defeated by Rio Branco in both editions of the tournament. Rio Branco Football Club, commonly referred to as Rio Branco, is a Brazilian professional club based in Rio Branco, Acre founded on 8 June 1919. It competes in the Campeonato Acreano, the top flight of the Acre state football league. It is the most successful club in Acre, having won a record 47 state titles, 31 of those being won in the amateur era. Rio Branco also took part in the national league in 21 seasons, the most of any club from the state. It is also the first Northern Brazil and the only club from Acre to play in a continental cup, featuring in the 1997 Copa CONMEBOL after winning the Copa Norte in the same year. Rio Branco's highest national league finish was achieved in 1989, when they finished 16th in the Brazilian Série B. Plácido De Castro, Acre
Plácido de Castro () is a municipality located in the east of the Brazilian state of Acre on the border with Bolivia. Location The municipal seat is on the left bank of the Abunã River, which defines the boundary between Brazil and Bolivia. It is from Rio Branco by road, or as the crow flies, accessible to weekend tourists from the city via the AC-40 highway. It has an area of , and is the 19th largest in area in Acre. The municipality is bounded to the north and northwest by the municipality of Senador Guiomard, to the east by the municipality of Acrelândia, to the south by Bolivia and to the west by the municipality of Capixaba. The municipality contains the Plácido de Castro Ecological Park, a municipal conservation area that contains 113 genera of trees.
