Joona Jasper Pääkkönen (; born 15 July 1980) is a Finnish film actor and entrepreneur. Following a two-decade-plus career in Finnish movies, Pääkkönen's international breakthrough role came in 2015 in the historical drama television series ''Vikings'' (2016–2018; 2020) as Halfdan the Black. ''Omerta 6/12'' (in the US release as ''Attack on Finland'') is a 2021 Finnish action thriller film directed by Aku Louhimies, based on Ilkka Remes' 2006 novel '. It tells the story of an attack planned by Serb terrorists on the Presidential Palace during the reception of Independence Day. The film was originally to be directed by Antti J. Jokinen but having fallen ill, Jokinen was replaced by Louhimies. The film stars Jasper Pääkkönen as the main character Max Tanner, an agent representing SUPO in the European Joint Police Operations. Pääru Oja (born 16 May 1989) is an Estonian stage, film, voice, and television actor. Early life and education Pääru Oja was born in Tallinn, the youngest of two sons. His father is actor Tõnu Oja and his older brother is Estonian Theatre Festival CEO and theatre manager Kaarel Oja, who is married to actress Ursula Ratasepp. His uncle is actor, director and theatre instructor Rein Oja.
