''Singapore'' is a 1960 thriller film directed by Shakti Samanta. It stars Shammi Kapoor, Padmini, Shashikala, Madan Puri, K. N. Singh, Agha, Helen and Maria Menado. An Indo-Malaya co-production, this was one of the first full length Bollywood feature films to be shot extensively in locations outside India. Plot Shyam has deputed his manager Ramesh to sell off his rubber estate in Singapore. While going through the old records, Ramesh finds a map revealing that there is a huge treasure on the rubber estate. He immediately writes to Shyam. ''The Highest Honour'' is a 1982 Australian/Japanese co-production about Operation Jaywick and Operation Rimau by Z Special Unit during World War II. The same story inspired the TV mini-series '' Heroes'' (1988) and '' Heroes II: The Return'' (1991). Plot During World War II, a team of Australian soldiers from Z Special Unit, including Ivan Lyon and Robert Page, successfully lead an expedition to destroy ships in Singapore harbour, Operation Jaywick. An attempt to duplicate this success, Operation Rimau, ends in disaster, with the team either killed or captured. These soldiers are interrogated by the Japanese in Singapore, with Page forming a friendship with Minoru Tamiya. Eventually all the Australians are convicted of war crimes and executed. ''Singaporenalli Raja Kulla'' () is a 1978 Indian Kannada language action film directed by C. V. ''Avandhan Manidhan'' () is a 1975 Indian Tamil-language drama film, co-written and directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar from a story by G. Balasubramaniam. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Muthuraman, Jayalalithaa and Manjula. It revolves around an extremely generous man who refuses to budge from his nature, even as it leads to his downfall. After Balasubramaniam wrote the story exclusively for Ganesan, director K. Shankar and producer Noor were attached. Ganesan however refused, and the story was later filmed in Kannada as ''Kasturi Nivasa'' (1971). After that film's success, Ganesan agreed to act in a potential Tamil remake, which became ''Avandhan Manidhan'', his 175th film as an actor.
