Uptown is a PID (public improvement district) and a dense neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. Uptown is north of and adjacent to downtown Dallas, and is bordered by US 75 ( Central Expressway) on the east, N Haskell Avenue on the northeast, the Katy Trail on the northwest, Bookhout Street and Cedar Springs Road on the west, N Akard Street on the southwest and Spur 366 (Woodall Rodgers Freeway) on the south. Redbird, Dallas
The Redbird community of Dallas is a group of neighborhoods located in the southern Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. This is a middle to upper middle class Neighborhood which includes Wynnewood Hills, Elderwoods/Elderoaks/Twin Oaks, and Glen Oaks. Redbird is the principal area and is bounded by Ledbetter/Loop 12 to the north, Wheatland to the south, I-35E/R.L. Thornton Freeway to the east, and Cockrell Hill Road to the west. Oak Cliff
Oak Cliff is a neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, that was formerly a separate town in Dallas County; Dallas annexed Oak Cliff in 1901. It has since retained a distinct neighborhood identity as one of Dallas' older established neighborhoods. Oak Cliff has turn-of-the-20th century and mid-20th century housing, many parks, and is near the central business district of downtown Dallas. The boundaries of Oak Cliff are roughly Interstate 30 on the north, Loop 12 on the west, Interstate 35 on the east, the Trinity River on the northeast and Interstate 20 on the south. Northwest Dallas
Northwest Dallas is an area consisting of many communities and neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas, (USA). Geography The area is bordered by I-635 to the North, Stemmons Freeway to the West, the Dallas North Tollway to the East and to the South it goes to the junction of I-35E and the Dallas North Tollway. There are a number of residential and commercial neighborhoods in Northwest Dallas. Of particular note are Love Field, home of Dallas Love Field airport, and the Stemmons Corridor, a stretch of hotels and office towers along Interstate 35E. The Asian Trade District is located just south of the I-35E/I-635 junction. Northwest Dallas is also home to Bachman Lake, a small freshwater lake, fed by the Bachman Branch of the Trinity River. North Dallas
North Dallas is an area of numerous communities and neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas (United States). The phrase "North Dallas" is also sometimes used to include any suburb or exurb north of Dallas proper within the metropolitan area. The majority of North Dallas is located in Dallas County, while a small portion is located in Collin and Denton Counties. North Dallas generally includes areas of Dallas north of Northwest Highway, along with Lake Highlands and areas of Dallas north of IH-635 known as Far North Dallas. The area has strong social and economic ties to the Dallas enclave of Park Cities, and two inner suburbs of Dallas, Richardson and Addison.
