''Date A Live'' is an anime series adapted from the light novels of the same title written by Kōshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. The first season was produced by Anime International Company and directed by Keitaro Motonaga, covering volumes 1 to 4 of the light novel. It was broadcast on Tokyo MX from April 6 to June 22, 2013. The second season was produced by Production IMS, which ran from April 12 to June 14, 2014, covering volumes 5 to 7 of the light novel. The third season was produced by J.C.Staff, which ran from January 11 to March 29, 2019, covering volumes 8 to 12 of the light novel. The fourth season produced by Geek Toys was set to premiere in October 2021, but was delayed to 2022 for "various reasons", which ran from April 8 to June 24, 2022, covering volumes 13 to 16 of the light novel. Date A Live
is a Japanese light novel series written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. Fujimi Shobo published 22 volumes from March 2011 to March 2020 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. Yen Press holds the license to publish the light novel in English. Five manga were published by Kadokawa Shoten and Fujimi Shobo in ''Monthly Shōnen Ace'' and ''Monthly Dragon Age''. Tsunako
is a Japanese video game creator and illustrator who worked for Idea Factory. She has designed and illustrated characters for various games and print media. She is best known for illustrating the ''Hyperdimension Neptunia'' video game series, published by Idea Factory and developed by Compile Heart, as well as the ''Date A Live'' light novel series, written by Kōshi Tachibana. Biography Tsunako joined Idea Factory in 2007, beginning as a general game sprite creator for games such as ''Spectral Gene'' and ''Cross Edge''. , or Production IMS, was a Japanese animation studio established on February 14, 2013, by former staff members from AIC Spirits. Its headquarters were located in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. Financial problems On December 20, 2017, animator Teru Miyazaki posted then deleted a tweet on Twitter stating that an anime studio, implied to be Production IMS, was not paying its animators. On June 7 the following year, credit research company Tokyo Shoko Research reported that Production IMS began consolidating its debts and that the staff was considering filing for bankruptcy.
