See also: List of Copenhagen S-train lines There are 86 stations that are operated in normal operation on the Copenhagen S-train, an urban rail network which serves the Copenhagen metropolitan area in Denmark. The stations are located on six suburban radial routes - A, B, Bx, C, E, H, and a ring line ( F). Forty-six are elevated, twenty-one are street level, fifteen are below street, four have different levels and one is underground. Of the 84 stations, are 32 located inside the four one-figured ticket fare zones, and another 35 stations are located within the Copenhagen Urban area. 17 stations can be said to be located in suburbs.According to the Danish map book "Kraks kort- København & Omergn 2011" ("Krak's Maps Copenhagen & surroundings 2011"), S-train section, p. 324-325, Lines E and H do not operate during weekends and nights. List Of Copenhagen S-train Lines
The lines used by the Copenhagen S-Train suburban rail system in Denmark are six radial, and two connecting rail lines built during the late 19th and early 20th centuries as commuter transport to and from the residential areas around the city centre. The radial lines The lines are, anticlockwise from north to south: #The Klampenborgbanen, from Klampenborg in the north to Osterport station, where it connects to the Boulevard Line (the ''Roret'' (lit. the "tube") which runs under and through the city centre. Ballerup Station
Ballerup station is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is in the middle of the suburb of Ballerup. The station complex includes a shopping center and a large bus terminal, which is the terminus for many local bus lines and buses through the rural areas outside the urban corridor that continues towards Frederikssund. The station is the terminus for most trains on the C S-train service, and contains a group of parking and reversing tracks between the main tracks west of the platform. History Ballerup was one of the original stations on the railway to Frederikssund, which opened on 17 June 1879. On 15 May 1949, the S-train network was extended to Ballerup and, for 40 years, Ballerup was a main transfer point between S-trains and the local diesel trains between Ballerup and Frederikssund. Dybbølsbro Station
Dybbølsbro is a central S-train station in Copenhagen, Denmark. History The station opened on 1 November 1934 when S-train service was extended from København H to Valby. A fourth platform was inaugurated in 2009. Platforms The four platforms are located under Dybbølsbro, a viaduct connecting Kalvebod Brygge and Havneholmen with the rest of Vesterbro across the railway tracks. They are accessed from the bridge with stairs or lifts. Bus station There is as of 2020 not any proper bus station for scheduled long-distance buses. They stop at a sidewalk on Ingerslevsgade, a street between Dybbølsbro and the København H. In March 2020 the city decided to build a bus station near Dybbølsbro station. Danshøj Station
Danshøj station is an S-train junction between Vestbanen and Ringbanen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Opened on 8 January 2005, it serves mainly as an interchange station between B and F. The station was in the project phase of Ringbanen originally intended to be known as Harrestrup. Due to public comments, however, the name was definitively changed to Danshøj. Overview The station has two levels: F stops at the lower level with platforms to the sides of the track; B and Bx stop at the upper level with a platform between the track. The two levels are connected by stairways and lifts. Intended as an interchange station between Vestbanen and Ringbanen, only pedestrians and bicycles can access the station, as automobiles, including buses, are denied entrance to the station area. Charlottenlund station is a commuter station serving the suburb of Charlottenlund north of Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as the nearby Charlottenlund Beach Park and the Charlottenlund Racetrack. Charlottenlund station is located on the Klampenborg radial of Copenhagen's S-train network and regularly served by trains on the C-line or F-line. History Charlottenlund Station opened on 22 July 1863 with the opening of the Klampenborg Line, and was named after the nearby Charlottenlund Palace. Carlsberg station () is an S-train station in Copenhagen, Denmark, that serves the Carlsberg area of the Vesterbro/Kongens Enghave district. Situated on the Høje Taastrup radial of the S-train network, it opened on 3 July 2016 and replaced Enghave station, which was located 200m east. History The station was designed by Gottlieb Paludan Architects and constructed for the Carlsberg Byen development company between 2014 and 2016, before being handed over to Banedanmark and DSB for operation. It serves the new residential and retail developments on the former Carlsberg brewery site, as well as the adjacent University College Capital campus; it is expected to become one of the five busiest S-train stations in Copenhagen, with approximately 24,000 travellers per day. It is located on the site of the brewery's freight depot, Station Høje, which was in operation from 1937 until 1985. Greater Copenhagen Light Rail ( da, Hovedstadens Letbane) is a planned electric light rail system crossing the lines of the S-train in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark, parallel to but outside the borders of Copenhagen Municipality. Its first stage is known as the Ring 3 Light Rail, for which construction started in 2018. It will go from Lundtofte Park north of Copenhagen to Ishøj station in the southwest, and it is expected to open in 2025, with an annual ridership of 13-14 million projected.
