Philippe Henry (born 23 April 1971) is a Belgian politician. Biography Henry was born in Charleroi. He attended University of LiĂšge, becoming the president of the student council, served as student delegate from the University of LiĂšge and the head of Federation of Francophone students in 1994â1995. In 1995, he graduated with a degree in civil engineering. He finished a master's degree in management in 1997. He worked as a researcher from 1995 to 1999. He joined the Ecolo party in 1999 and was elected a regional and community member of parliament in 1999 and stayed until 2004. He served as town councilor in Sprimont and Political Director of Ecolo. Adolphe Sylvestre FĂ©lix ĂbouĂ© (; 26 December 1884 – 17 May 1944) was a French Guiana, French French colonial empires, colonial administrator and Free French Forces, Free French leader. He was the first black French man appointed to a high post in the French colonies, when appointed as Governor of Guadeloupe in 1936. As governor of French Chad, Chad (part of French Equatorial Africa) during most of World War II, he helped build support for Charles de Gaulle's Free French in 1940, leading to broad electoral support for the Gaullism, Gaullist faction after the war. He supported educated Africans and placed more in the colonial administration, as well as supporting preservation of African culture. LĂ©on Solomiac (19 October 1873 in Cajarc â 10 May 1960 in Cannes) was a colonial administrator in various colonies of the French Colonial Empire. Life Solomiac was a son of a shopkeeper. In the course of his career in the French colonial service, he was appointed in July 1925 as a delegate in Beirut then in 1930 in Damascus, during the French Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon. After the deposition of Taj al-Din al-Hasani, Solomiac officiated on 19 November 1931 as head of state of the Syrian Republic until 11 June 1932, when Mohammed Ali al-Abed was elected by the Syrian Parliament to the presidency. Later on, Solomiac went to Africa in which he became the governor of French Sudan from 22 May to 30 November 1933 on an interim basis.
