Gulfport is the second-largest city in Mississippi after the state capital, Jackson. Harrah's Casino Tunica, formerly Grand Casino Tunica, was a casino and resort located in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi. It was owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Harlow's Casino Resort & Hotel is a casino located in Refuge, Mississippi near Greenville, and approximately east of the Mississippi River. It is owned and operated by Churchill Downs Inc. Harlow's has of gaming space with slot machines, blackjack, craps, and a 7-table poker room, a 105-room hotel, a 2,500-seat entertainment center, two restaurants, and three bars. Originally the name of the casino was going to be Bali-Hai, but the owner, the late Rick Schilling, changed the name to Harlow's Casino Resort "to bring back that lavish old Hollywood style with even more grandeur to this new property". The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi is a casino and resort in Biloxi, Mississippi, United States. It is owned by Gaming and Leisure Properties and operated by Bally's Corporation, under franchise from Hard Rock International. It opened in 2007. History The resort was constructed in 2005 and originally scheduled to open on September 1 of that year. However, days before the scheduled grand opening, Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, destroying the casino and damaging the resort. Reconstruction and reopening of the property was in limbo for a time because of a legal dispute between owner Premier Entertainment and the trustee for bondholders on the property. Neshoba County is located in the central part of the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2020 census, the population was 29,087. Its county seat is Philadelphia. It was named after ''Nashoba'', a Choctaw chief. His name means "wolf" in the Choctaw language. The county is known for the Neshoba County Fair and harness horse races.
