This is a list of electoral districts or ''ridings'' in Canada for the Canadian federal election of 1917 and 1921. Electoral Districts are constituencies that elect Members of Parliament in Canada's House of Commons. Shelburne and Queen's was a federal electoral district in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1896 to 1925. This riding was created in 1892 from parts of Queens and Shelburne ridings. It consisted of the counties of Queen's and Shelburne. It was abolished in 1924 when it was redistributed into Queens—Lunenburg and Shelburne—Yarmouth ridings. Victoria—Carleton was a federal electoral district in New Brunswick, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1917 to 1968. This riding was created in 1914 from Carleton and Victoria ridings. It was first used in the Canadian federal election of 1917. It was abolished in 1966 when it was redistributed into Carleton—Charlotte and Madawaska—Victoria ridings. Royal (electoral District)
Fundy Royal (formerly known as Royal from 1914 to 1966, Fundy—Royal from 1966 to 2003, and Fundy in 2003-2004) is a federal electoral district in southern New Brunswick, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1917. The riding roughly covers the area in between the three largest cities in the province; Fredericton, Saint John and Moncton. Included in the riding are the towns of Quispamsis, Hampton, Sussex, St. Martins, Petitcodiac, Salisbury and part of Riverview. Also included are the area around Loch Lomond east of Saint John, and the Kingston Peninsula. Restigouche—Madawaska was a federal electoral district in New Brunswick, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1917 to 1968. This riding was created in 1914 from parts of Restigouche and Victoria ridings. With the 1966 redistribution, Madawaska County was moved to the new Madawaska—Victoria riding, while Restigouche County became the district of Restigouche. Gloucester (electoral District)
Gloucester ( ) is a cathedral city and the county town of Gloucestershire in the South West of England. Gloucester lies on the River Severn, between the Cotswolds to the east and the Forest of Dean to the west, east of Monmouth and east of the border with Wales. Including suburban areas, Gloucester has a population of around 132,000. It is a port, linked via the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal to the Severn Estuary. Gloucester was founded by the Romans and became an important city and ''colony'' in AD 97 under Emperor Nerva as '' Colonia Glevum Nervensis''. It was granted its first charter in 1155 by Henry II. New Brunswick Southwest (french: Nouveau-Brunswick-Sud-Ouest; formerly known as Charlotte and St. Croix—Belleisle) is a federal electoral district in New Brunswick, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. Its population in 2016 was 65,287. Political geography As the name implies, the district comprises the southwestern portion of New Brunswick. It includes all of Charlotte County and portions of York, Sunbury, Queens, Kings and Saint John Counties. New Brunswick
New Brunswick (french: Nouveau-Brunswick, , locally ) is one of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. It is one of the three Maritime provinces and one of the four Atlantic provinces. It is the only province with both English and French as its official languages. Queen's (Prince Edward Island Electoral District)
Queen's was a federal electoral district in Prince Edward Island, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1904 to 1968. History This riding was created in 1903 from parts of East Prince, East Queen's and West Queen's ridings. It was abolished in 1966 when it was redistributed into Cardigan, Hillsborough and Malpeque ridings, to take effect at the time of the next election (which took place in 1968). It consisted of the County of Queen's and elected two members. In 1914, it was redefined to elect only one member unless the British North America Act, 1867, were amended to entitle the province of Prince Edward Island to four members. When that happened, before the next election, Queen's again was entitled to elect two members. It continued to have two members until it was abolished in 1966.
