First Professional Football League (Bulgaria)
The First Professional Football League ( bg, Първа професионална футболна лига, Parva Profesionalna Futbolna Liga), also known as the Bulgarian First League or Parva Liga, currently known as the efbet League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league, located at the top of the Bulgarian football league system. Contested by 16 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Second Professional Football League (Bulgaria), Second Professional Football League. Vasil Panayotov
Vasil Panayotov ( bg, Васил Панайотов; born 16 July 1990) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cherno More Varna. Panayotov primarily plays as a centre midfielder. Career Club career Panayotov began his career at Levski Sofia, but he never made a first team appearance. However, he played regularly for the club with the under-19s. Panayotov went on loan to B PFG side Volov Shumen at the start of the 2009–10 season. In June 2010 he moved to Pirin Gotse Delchev. He scored once in 16 appearances, before moving to Bansko in January 2011. In June 2016 Panayotov signed with Beroe Stara Zagora but was released in December. Marcos García Barreno (born 21 March 1987), known as Marquitos, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for CD Ibiza Islas Pitiusas as a midfielder. Club career Born in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Marquitos was a product of Villarreal CF's youth system, and he made his first-team debut on 24 September 2006 in a 3–2 home win against Real Zaragoza. FC Dunav Ruse
FC Dunav ( bg, Дунав, officially named ''"Дунав от Русе"'') is a Bulgarian professional football club based in Ruse, which currently competes in the Second League, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. Part of a larger sports branch, Dunav were established on February 16, 1949, as a merger of two local football clubs in the city, Dinamo and Rusenets. Nicknamed ''The Dragons'' ( bg, Драконите), Dunav's home colours are sky blue and white. Named after the Danube River, on the banks of which the city of Ruse is situated, the club plays its home matches at the local Gradski stadion, which has a seating capacity of 13,000 spectators. Futbolen klub Pirin ( bg, Футболен клуб „Пирин“), also known as Pirin Blagoevgrad is a Bulgarian Football team, football club based in Blagoevgrad, which currently competes in the First Professional Football League (Bulgaria), First League, the top division of Bulgarian football. The club was founded in 2008, after a merger between two clubs from Blagoevgrad, Pirin 1922 and PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad. By an official court decision later that year, the club was announced as a historical successor of the club records of the former FC Pirin, founded in 1922. In 2011, following the bankruptcy of the entity, which represented the football club, Pirin's football department was merged once again with Perun Kresna, to eventually become OFC Pirin. Blagoy Makendzhiev ( bg, Благой Макенджиев; born 11 July 1988) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Krumovgrad. Career Makendzhiev began his professional career at Pirin Blagoevgrad. He made his competitive debut on 9 November 2005 in a match against Lokomotiv Sofia. Pedro Alexandre Mendes Marques (born 31 March 1988), commonly known as Pedrito, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Football career Born in Figueira da Foz, Coimbra District, Marques played youth football with three clubs, including Sporting Clube de Portugal from ages 11–15. He moved abroad in 2006, going on to spend his last as a junior with Real Madrid.
