Tatia Rosenthal
Tatia Rosenthal (born April 4, 1971) is an animator and film director born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She served two years in the Israeli Defense Force, tried her hand at medical school and studied photography in Paris, before moving to New York City to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Rosenthal currently works as a freelance director and animator in New York. She frequently collaborates with Israeli author Etgar Keret. As an NYU student she created the award-winning short film ''Crazy Glue'' (1998), which is based on an Etgar Keret story. In 2005 she directed ''A Buck's Worth'', a ''stop-motion'' short film based on another Keret story. ''A Buck's Worth'' was used as proof of concept for the feature film ''$9.99''. ''Barbie: Fairytopia'' is a 2005 computer-animated fantasy film directed by Walter P. Martishius and William Lau and written by Elise Allen and Diane Duane. It first premiered on Nickelodeon on March 6, 2005 and was later released to VHS and DVD 2 days later. The 5th film in the Barbie film series and the first to have an original storyline not based on previous material, it follows the story of Elina, a wingless flower fairy who goes on a journey to save the enchanted land of Fairytopia. Bratz is an American fashion doll and media franchise created by former Mattel employee Carter Bryant for MGA Entertainment which debuted in 2001. The four original 10-inch (25 cm) dolls were released on May 21, 2001 — Yasmin, Cloe, Jade, and Sasha. They featured almond-shaped eyes adorned with eye shadow and lush and big glossy lips.
