Lluís Claret
Lluís Claret (born 1951 in Andorra la Vella) is an Andorran Cello, cellist. He was born in Andorra in 1951 where he began his musical education at the age of 9. In 1964 he moved to Barcelona, won major distinctions at the Conservatory of the Liceu, and began working with Enric Casals. Claret continued his studies in France, Italy and in the United States, USA. Throughout his career he has been especially committed to chamber music. He has performed with many noted orchestras including National Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony de Washington, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic, Orchestre National de France, National Orchestra of France, English Chamber Orchestra, Hungarian Philharmonic, Czech Philharmonic. Anonymous (band)
Anonymous was a band from Andorra that in 2007 represented the country with the song " Salvem el món" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 after being chosen by the internal national selection. The song, however, failed to make it through past the semi-final stage. The top ten acts are moved up to the finals, and Andorra came in 12th. The band was formed in 2004 and has had some success in Andorra and northern Spain (mainly Catalonia). Eurovision Song Contest 2007 The band sang " Salvem el món" for Andorra - however, Narvaez was underage for the contest, so only Francesca, Martínez, and Gallego were able to perform. The band did not move on to the finals, as they came in 12th place with 80 points. However, this is the best result Andorra has ever achieved in the contest. Curling
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. The purpose is to accumulate the highest score for a ''game''; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each ''end'', which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones once. Ana Arce (born 5 January 1964) is a photographer and former skip of the Andorran national women's curling team. She now plays on the Spain, Spanish national team. Photography She produced the ''Ana Arce Team Sponsorship Calendar 2006'' featuring nude or semi-nude photographs of women curlers from a variety of countries including Denmark, Italy, Spain, England, Poland, Germany and Canada. The curlers included Daniela Jentsch, Melanie Robillard, Lynsay Ryan, Kasia Selwand and Claudia Toth. She produced a second calendar for 2007 which included Christine Keshen, Linn Githmark, Debbie McCormick and Jackie Lockhart. Boris Mikhailovich Skossyreff (russian: Бори́с Миха́йлович Ско́сырев, link=no, translit=Boris Mikhailovich Skosyrev; ca, Borís Mikhàilovitx Skóssirev ; 12 January 1896 – 27 February 1989) was a Russian adventurer, international swindler and pretender who attempted to seize the monarchy of the Principality of Andorra during the early 1930s, styling himself King Boris I of Andorra. Skossyreff was born in Lithuania to a family of lower nobility. Following the outbreak of the 1917 Russian Revolution, Skossyreff was able to seek political asylum in England, where he enlisted in the British army for the end of World War I.
