Ironies of Automation is a research paper written by Lisanne Bainbridge and published in ''Automatica'' in 1983, and has been widely recognized as a pioneering statement of the problems inherent in automation. Lisanne Freya de Roever (born 6 June 1979 in Amstelveen, North Holland) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for Dutch club SV Kampong. She made her debut for the Netherlands women's national field hockey team, Netherlands national team on 5 March 2005 in a friendly match against Malaysia women's national field hockey team, Malaysia. De Roever was a member of the Dutch squad that won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She was also part of the squad that became World Champion at the 2006 Women's Hockey World Cup and which won the 2007 Women's Champions Trophy (field hockey), 2007 Champions Trophy. Lisanne de Witte (born 10 September 1992) is a Dutch sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres. She won bronze medals in this event at the 2018 European Championships and 2019 European Indoor Championships, and took several medals as part of the Dutch 4 × 400 m relays. De Witte competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on the Dutch 4 × 400 m relay team who ran a national record of 3:26.98. She also competed in the 400 metres event at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships. She ran a personal best of 52.61 s in the series and came in third in the semifinals, but was excluded from the finals after the US team argued that she had impeded Joanna Atkins, who came in fourth behind her.
