Annibale Lippi
Annibale Lippi (16th century-Rome, after 18 November 1581) was an Italian architect active during the second half of 16th century. He was son of the sculptor and architect Nanni di Baccio Bigio. Pupil of Francesco Salviati, his only certain works are the church of Our Lady of Loreto at Spoleto, built around 1572, where he adopts a Vignola style, the churches of Santa Maria a Monte Cavallo and Santa Maria della Pietà a Piazza Colonna, both in Rome. The Villa Medici in Rome, who used to be assigned to it, is probably due to his father, but he worked there during the construction. In Rome Lippi restored the Palazzo dei Convertendi at Piazza Scossacavalli in Borgo, when this was bought by Cardinal Francesco Commendone (1523–84), and gave to the building its definitive facade.Gigli (1992) p. 48 In 1578 he appeared among the members of the Accademia dei Virtuosi at Pantheon. Nanni Di Baccio Bigio
Nanni di Baccio Bigio, a pseudonym of Giovanni Lippi (1507? – 1568), was an Italian architect who lived during the 16th century. Works A versatile architect, he had originally set out to be a sculptor working under Raffaello da Montelupo. After arriving in Rome, he made a good copy of Michelangelo's Pietà. Michelangelo disliked him while Nanni worked to supplant Michelangelo. Nanni also took over the reconstruction of the Bridge of Santa Maria from Michelangelo in 1551, but his work proved to be inadequate and the bridge was destroyed in the 1557 flood. He worked primarily in Rome where he designed the Palazzo Salviati alla Lungara in the style of Giuliano da Sangallo, he directed the reconstruction of the Castel Sant'Angelo, and built the Porta del Popolo. In addition, he completed the Palazzo Sacchetti in via Giulia and contributed to the fortifications of Fano and Civitavecchia. Antonio Lippi
Antonio Lippi (born 9 October 1900 – 2 February 1957) was an Italian aviator. He participated in the transatlantic flight organized by Italo Balbo and was awarded the Medal of Aeronautic Valor, Gold Medal of Aeronautic Valor of the Regia Aeronautica. Lippi was born in Torremaggiore, a small town in the south of Italy on October 9, 1900, to a wealthy landowning family. He had a passion for flying since he was a child. As a young adult, he decided not to follow his family's wishes but his own passion. He started his career by enrolling in the military for officials of the Regia Marina.
