Lions De Genève
The Lions de Genève are a professional basketball club based in the city of Geneva, Switzerland ). Swiss law does not designate a ''capital'' as such, but the federal parliament and government are installed in Bern, while other federal institutions, such as the federal courts, are in other cities (Bellinzona, Lausanne, Luzern, Neuchâtel .... The Lions currently play in the Swiss top-tier Swiss Basketball League (SBL). The team is based in the 2,000 capacity Pavillon des Sports. History Founded as the Genève Devils in the summer of 2000, the club rebranded itself as Les Lions de Genève in 2010 after merging with Meyrin Grand-Saconnex. Swiss Basketball League
The Swiss Basketball League, also known as SB League or SBL, is the top-tier professional club basketball league in Switzerland. It is organized by Swiss Basketball. The winners of the SBL are crowned Swiss national basketball champions. Currently, twelve teams compete in the league. Historically, Fribourg Olympic is the league's most successful team, as it has won a league-record 19 championships. Until 2017, the league was known as the Championnat LNA. Promotion and relegation The national professional club basketball competition of Switzerland is divided into two separate league levels, the top-tier level SBL, and the 2nd-tier level LNB, with a system of promotion and relegation between the two league levels. Roberto Kovac
Roberto Kovac, (born 2 May 1990) is a Swiss professional basketball player. He has been a member of the Swiss national basketball team and participated at the 2015 EuroBasket qualification. Club career In August 2019, Kovac signed with Úrvalsdeild karla club ÍR. On 29 August it was reported that Kovac had signed a contract with Croatian club KK Cibona even though he was still under contract for the season with ÍR. In September, Cibona bought up Kovac's contract við ÍR. In December 2019, Kovac left Cibona and signed back with ÍR. Jean-Marc Jaumin (born 5 February 1970) is a Belgian retired basketball player and current head coach for Circus Brussels of the BNXT League. Coaching career After being an assistant-coach for two years with BC Oostende, the club Jaumin also played for, Jaumin became head coach in 2010. In 2011, he was fired. Jaumin signed a one-year contract with Den Helder Kings in 2012. In December 2012, he signed for 4 more years in Den Helder. Ivan Rudež
Ivan Rudež (born 22 December 1979) is a Croatian professional basketball coach, currently serving as director of Switzerland's national basketball centre (Centre National du Basketball Suisse) in Lausanne. Coaching career Rudež started as a coach at KK Zrinjevac in 2004, where he coached both U18 and senior teams. In 2007, he went to Slovakia, where he coached BC Prievidza until 2010. After that, Rudež was named an assistant coach of the Croatian club Cedevita. In the summer of 2011, Rudež took over BC Vienna of the Austrian Bundesliga as the head coach. George Rodrigue (March 13, 1944 – December 14, 2013) was an American artist who in the late 1960s began painting Louisiana landscapes, followed soon after by outdoor family gatherings and southwest Louisiana 19th-century and early 20th-century genre scenes.
