Shawn Jamison
Shawn Jamison (born October 10, 1969) is a basketball coach and former professional player, who last played in England for the Milton Keynes Lions. The 6 foot, 8 inch centre's former teams include the world famous Harlem Globetrotters (1995–96), Geneve Devils (2000–01) and Thames Valley Tigers (2001–02). College career Jamison played college basketball for San Diego State from 1989 to 1990 where he averaged 16.8 points in 31 games. He finished his college career with University of Texas at San Antonio in 1991–1992, averaging 10.4 points in 28 games. Professional career In January 1993, Jamison signed with Snæfell of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla, replacing Damon Lopez. Kristinn Geir Friðriksson (born 23 December 1971) is an Icelandic former basketball player and coach. He is currently a basketball analyst for '' Domino's Körfuboltakvöld'' (English: Domino's Basketball Night) on Stöð 2 Sport. Club career Kristinn played 17 seasons in the Icelandic top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla. Icelandic Men's Basketball Cup
The Icelandic Men's Basketball Cup (Icelandic: Bikarkeppni KKÍ), also known as VÍS bikarinn for sponsorship reasons, is an annual professional basketball competition between clubs in Iceland. It is Iceland's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Iceland's former second-tier cup competition, the Company Cup. History and format The first edition of the Icelandic Cup championship took place in 1965, and was won by Ármann. In 1968 and 1969, the cup competition was not held, but it has been held regularly every year from 1970 onward. Teams in Úrvalsdeild karla and Division I have an automatic bye to the Final 32 while lower league teams might have to play preliminary rounds for a place, depending on the number of teams. The Keflavík men's basketball team, commonly known as Keflavík, is the men's professional basketball department of Keflavík ÍF (Keflavík, íþrótta- og ungmennafélag), based in the town of Reykjanesbær in Iceland. ''DV'' (''Dagblaðið Vísir'') is an online newspaper in Iceland published by Torg ehf. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged. Early on it was one of the largest newspapers in Iceland and at one point had a 64% readership in Iceland. In the 1990s its readership started to dwindle and in 2003 its publisher was declared bankrupt. It was resurrected a week later by the publisher of Fréttablaðið.
