Lionel Louch
Lionel Arthur Louch (4 July 1888 – 1 February 1967) was an English amateur footballer who played as a center-forward for Portsmouth, Brentford and England Amateurs. He was a member of Great Britain's squad for the football tournament at the 1908 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. Club career Born in London, Louch in the Football League for hometown clubs Queens Park Rangers and Shepherd's Bush before moving to the South coast and joining Portsmouth. At the start of the next season, Louch moved out of the Southern League and joined Clapton Orient, making his Football League début against Barnsley in the second division on the Christmas Day of 1908. He spent two seasons at Orient scoring 10 goals in 38 League and Cup games. Hanwell
Hanwell () is a town in the London Borough of Ealing, in the historic County of Middlesex, England. It is about 1.5 miles west of Ealing Broadway and had a population of 28,768 as of 2011. It is the westernmost location of the London post town. Hanwell is mentioned in the Domesday Book. St Mary's Church was established in the tenth century and has been rebuilt three times since, the present church dating to 1842. Barnsley () is a market town in South Yorkshire, England. As the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley and the fourth largest settlement in South Yorkshire. In Barnsley, the population was 96,888 while the wider Borough has seen an increase of 5.8%, from 231,200 in 2011 census to 244,600 in 2021 census. Stade Du Vivier D'Oie
The Stade du Vivier d'Oie (Dutch: ''De Ganzenvijver'', English translation: ''Goose Pond Stadium'') is a stadium in the Belgian community of Uccle in the Brussels Capital Region. The stadium lies in the quarter Vivier d'Oie (Dutch: Diesdelle) at the margin of the Soignies Forest. In the first half of the 20th century the football club Racing Club de Bruxelles played here. History Racing club was founded at the end of the 19th century and played first in Koekelberg and then at the velodrome of Longchamps at Longchamps in Uccle. In 1901 the club was successful and it was decided to move to Vivier d'Oie. On a location on the outskirts of the Soignies Forest a stadium with side building and a club house were built. Valhalla IP is a stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden which is currently home to IFK Göteborg (women), Göteborgs DFF and Qviding FIF. The stadium is situated close the river Mölndalsån and Burgårdsparken of the town and is named after the Valhalla (Old Norse Valhöll, "Hall of the Slain") is Odin's hall in Norse mythology. The capacity of the stadium is 4,000, where 1,200 are seated. Valhalla IP had an artificial pitch added in October 2006. On October 19, 2008, during a football match between Örgryte IS and FC Väsby United, after one minute of play a railing in the stands collapsed when fans celebrated a goal scored by Marcus Allbäck. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. Fans held a collection for Stephenson, and presented him with a hat bought with the proceeds. The term was used in print for the first time in 1865 in the ''Chelmsford Chronicle''. The term was eventually adopted by many other sports including hockey, association football, Formula 1 racing, rugby, and water polo. London Regiment (1908–1938)
The London Regiment was an infantry regiment in the British Army, part of the Territorial Force (renamed the Territorial Army in 1921). The regiment saw distinguished service in the First World War and was disbanded in 1938, shortly before the Second World War, when most of its battalions were converted to other roles or transferred elsewhere. The lineage of some (but not all) of its former battalions is continued by the current regiment of the same name.
